UP Judiciary Exam 2021

The first level of the three-tiered UP Judicial Services Exam 2021 will be conducted probably in the month of March 2021. The selection process of the UP Judiciary Exam consists of three stages i.e., prelims, mains, and interview. All three stages are qualifying in nature.

  • Candidates applying for the exam must make sure to meet the UP PCS J Exam Eligibility Criteria before filling the application form.

Interested students fulfilling the aforementioned eligibility can apply for UP Judicial Services 2021 on or before the last date. The registration for the exam can be done from the official website of the commission: uppsc.up.nic.in. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below while filling the UP PCS J Application Form 2021.

  • Visit the official website of UP Public Service Commission i.e., uppsc.up.nic.in
  • On the Home page, click on the "Candidate Segment" tab
  • Before filling up the form candidates are advised to carefully go through the Relevant Notification published in the Employment News and also available in the “All Notifications/Advertisements” in Candidate segment page.
  • Click on the “All Notifications/Advertisements” link 
  • A login window will be displayed on the screen
  • Click on the "New Registration" tab
  • Fields with a pink color background are mandatory and essential to be filled in by the candidate. 
  • Enter all the required details like name, mobile number, e-mail ID, etc and click on the "Register" button
  • A new user ID and password will be generated and the same will be sent to the registered mobile number
  • Re-login to the website using registration ID and password
  • Click on the link for the UPPSC PCS (J) 2020 Application form.

Uploading of Documents

Candidates need to upload the following documents while filling the UPPSC Civil Judge Application Form 2021.

  • Upload the scanned copy of the recent passport size photograph
  • Upload the scanned of the signature
  • The Photo and signature should be uploaded only in JPEG format
  • The size of the Photo and signature must not exceed 20 KB

UPPSC PCS J Application fee 2021

After uploading all the documents, candidates need to pay the application fee as per their category. The application fee can be paid through online mode by using a debit card or credit card or NEFT.

  • Candidates belonging to General & OBC candidates need to pay Rs. 125 as an online application fee whereas ST/ST/PWD category candidates have to pay Rs. 65.
  • For PwD candidates, the application fee is Rs. 25

Uttar Pradesh Judiciary Admit Card 2021

Upon closure of the Registration Window, the commission will evaluate the submission made by the students. Following thorough checking of the details provided, UPPSC will release UPPSC PCS (J) Admit Card 2021 to all the successfully registered candidates 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the examination.

  • The Commission (UPPSC) will release PCS J Admit Card 2021 on its official portal. Hence, the candidates will have to log in to the portal using the user ID and password to download the admit card.
  • Candidates will have to download and carry a physical copy of the admit card to the exam center without fail.
  • The candidates are strictly advised to check all the details mentioned in the PCS J Admit Card 2021. Since the Admit Card serves as a hall ticket for the students, any disparity/discrepancy in the details mentioned in the admit card and the ones provided during registration will result in cancellation of candidature.

Uttar Pradesh Judiciary Exam Pattern 2021

The exam pattern of UP Judiciary 2021 involves three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Viva-voce. All three stages of the exams are qualifying in nature. As per the notification, candidates scoring above the cut off will be eligible to appear for the next stage of the selection process. UPPSC PCS J Prelims Exam Pattern

The Preliminary round of UPPSC PCS J consists of two papers viz. Paper 1: General Studies and Paper 2: Law. Paper 1 General Studies consists of everything ranging from dynamic Current Affairs to Static Social Sciences. The students are expected to keep a tab on recent changes concerning the socio-economic fabric of India and the world. 

Although there has not been any mention of the number of questions to be asked in the exam. Some industry experts such as leading coaching institutes’ and other veteran teachers have their take on this.

The industry leaders expect that there will be 100 questions in the paper constituting total marks of 200. As per the Judiciary Exam Pattern, the candidate will be offered two marks for every right answer and 0.5 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The marks deducted are 1/3 of the total marks.

The Law Paper 2 of UPPSC PCS J 2021 includes day to day happenings around India as well as the world. The candidates are expected to well versed and acquainted with International Organisations, Jurisprudence, Indian Constitution and laws, Acts, Procedures, Codes, and Ethics.

As per the notification of UPPSC PCS J 2021, Paper 2 will be asked for the total marks of 300 which makes it twice as important as previous General Science in terms of weightage. 

Following the tunes of General Science, the notification does not say anything about the number of questions to be asked in the exam. But as per the predictions, it is expected to be as mentioned below

Total Marks of Paper 1 and II obtained by students in PCS J Prelims 2021 will be considered for the preparation of the merit list. The candidates securing marks above the mentioned cutoff will be called for the mains round of the recruitment process. 

It is to be noted that marks of UPPSC PCS J Prelims are only considered while shortlisting students for the mains exam and not In the final merit list preparation.

UPPSC PCS J Mains Exam Pattern

There is a total of 5 papers each holding marks worth 200 in Mains level of the examination. Collectively they make the mains level of UPPSC PCS J worth a whopping 1000 marks. The 5 subjects of PCS J Mains are:

UPPCS PCS J Cutoff 2021

The Commission releases minimum qualifying marks for UPPSC PCS J Exam. The details about the minimum qualifying for each category is mentioned below

  • SC/ST: 30% of the total marks
  • Other Candidates: 40% of the total marks
