The Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service Exam 2020 is one of the most sought-after judicial service exams across the country. The Exam is conducted for recruitment in the Judicial Services for the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, UPPSC will soon release the UP Judiciary 2020 notification for the recruitment to the post of Civil Judge. There are expected to be 333 vacancies against which candidates can submit their application.

The first level of the three-tiered UP Judicial Services Exam 2020 will be conducted probably in the first week of December 2020. Candidates with commission released Admit card will be allowed to write the exam. Successful candidates of Prelims will be called for writing Mains exam of UP judicial services 2020. UP PCS J Vacancy 2020

This year, a total of 95 vacancies will be released by the Uttar Pradesh High Court. However, the number of vacancies may increase or decrease as per the requirement. The high court releases the category-wise vacancies.

UP PCS J Salary 2020

The minimum basic pay scale of the high court civil judge starts from Rs. 26,000  and on average, he draws a salary of Rs. 80,000 per month including allowances and perks. As per the notification, the grade pay of the High Court judge will be more than Rs. 20,000 per month and it also depends on the years of experience.

Educational qualification & Practice of Law

  • Bachelor of Laws from the any recognized University of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Advocate enrolled under the provisions of the Advocate Act 1961. 
  • Barrister of England/Northern Ireland/Member Faculty of Advocates in Scotland. 

General Requirements

  • Citizen of India 
  • Must not be the criminal offender
  • Proficient in Devnagri Script of Hindi language.

Uttar Pradesh Judiciary Application Process

Interested students fulfilling the aforementioned eligibility can apply for UP Judicial Services 2020 on or before the last date. The registration for the exam can be done from the official website of the commission: uppsc.up.nic.in. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below while filling the UP PCS J Application Form 2020.

  • Visit the official website of UP Public Service Commission i.e., uppsc.up.nic.in
  • On the Home page, click on the appropriate application link present under the updates section
  • A login window will be displayed on the screen
  • Click on the "New Registration" tab
  • Enter all the required details like name, mobile number, e-mail ID, etc and click on the "Register" button
  • New user ID and password will be generated and the same will be sent to the registered mobile number

UPPSC PCS J 2020 Application fee

After uploading all the documents, candidates need to pay the application fee as per their category. The application fee can be paid through online mode by using a debit card or credit card or NEFT.

  • Candidates belonging to General & OBC candidates need to pay Rs. 125 as an online application fee whereas ST/ST/PWD category candidates have to pay Rs. 65.
  • For PwD candidates, the application fee is Rs. 25

Uttar Pradesh Judiciary Admit Card

Upon closure of the Registration Window, the commission will evaluate the submission made by the students. Following thorough checking of the details provided, UPPSC will release UPPSC PCS (J) Admit Card 2020 to all the successfully registered candidates 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the examination.

The Commission (UPPSC) will release PCS J Admit Card 2020 on its official portal. The candidates will have to log in using the details generated during PCS J 2020 Application Process. 

The Online Admit card of PCS J will be displayed on the screen. Candidates will have to download and carry a physical copy of the admit card at the time of their examination.

The candidates are strictly advised to check all the details mentioned in the PCS J Admit Card 2020. Uttar Pradesh Judiciary Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of UP Judiciary 2020 involves three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Viva-voce. All the three stages of the exams are qualifying in nature. As per the notification, candidates scoring above the cut off will be eligible to appear for the next stage of selection process. UPPSC PCS J Prelims Exam Pattern

The Preliminary round of UPPSC PCS J consists of two papers viz. Paper 1: General Studies and Paper 2: Law. The Paper 1 General Studies consists of everything ranging from dynamic Current Affairs to Static Social Sciences. The students are expected to keep a tab on recent changes concerning the socio-economic fabric of India and the world. 

Although there has not been any mention of the number of questions to be asked in the exam. Some industry experts such as leading coaching institutes’ and other veteran teachers have their take on this.

The industry leaders expect that there will be 100 questions in the paper constituting total marks of 200. As per the Judiciary Exam Pattern, the candidate will be offered with two marks for every right answer and 0.5 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The Law Paper 2 of UPPSC PCS J 2020 includes day to day happenings around India as well as the world. The candidates are expected to well versed and acquainted with International Organisations, Jurisprudence, Indian Constitution and laws, Acts, Procedures, Codes, and Ethics.

As per the notification of UPPSC PCS J 2020, Paper 2 will be asked for the total marks of 300 which makes it twice as important as previous General Science in terms of weightage. 

Following the tunes of General Science, the notification does not say anything about the number of questions to be asked in the exam. But as per the predictions, it is expected to be as mentioned below

Total Marks of Paper 1 and II obtained by students in PCS J prelims 2020 will be considered for the preparation of merit list. The candidates securing marks above the mentioned cutoff will be called for the mains round of the recruitment process. 

It is to be noted that marks of UPPSC PCS J Prelims is only considered while shortlisting students for mains exam and not In the final merit list preparation.

UPPSC PCS J Mains Exam Pattern

There is a total of 5 papers each holding marks worth 200 in Mains level of the examination. Collectively they make mains level of UPPSC PCS J worth a whopping 1000 marks. The 5 subjects of PCS J Mains are:

UPPCS PCS J Cutoff 2020

The Commission releases minimum qualifying marks for UPPSC PCS J Exam. The details about the minimum qualifying for each category is mentioned below
