What After the MP Judiciary Result 2023 (Mains)?

Candidates whose names appear in the merit list after the declaration of the MPCJ Mains result will be called in for a document verification process.

 Only those who successfully clear this process are recruited for the Civil Judge (Junior Division) post in Madhya Pradesh. 

The post must be sent via speed post by clearly mentioning the name of the exam followed by the year; M.P. Civil Judge Junior Division (Entry Level) Exam 2023.

  • Proof of age (Certificate of Matriculation or other equivalent examination)
  • Mark Sheets and Pass Certificates in respect of Xth and XIIth Class
  • Photocopy of identity cards (Adhaar card, Pan card, etc.)
  • LL.B. degree or other equivalent law degrees
  • Printout of the MPCJ application form 2023
  • Duly filled application proforma
  • Semester-wise Marksheets, Consolidated Marksheet, Certificates, and degrees of all courses passed or attended
  • Advocate's license if practising/Proof of enrolment/Enrolment Certificate if enrolled with Bar.
  • Pass Certificate in respect of All India Bar Examination, if qualified
  • In case you are a government employee, a No-objection Certificate (NOC) from the department
  • In case of a candidate who claims to belong to one of the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe categories, a Certificate issued by a Sub-Divisional Officer/Additional District Magistrate/Revenue Assistant or any other Officer who the State Government has designated concerned as competent to issue such a certificate.
  • In case of a candidate claiming reservation/relaxation on account of being a Person with a Disability (Blind/Low Vision)/(Hearing Impaired)/(Locomotor disability)/(Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, and mental illness and Multiple disabilities, a Certificate issued by a Government Hospital/Medical Board in support of their claim.
  • In case of a candidate claiming relaxation in age because they are an Ex-Serviceman, Emergency Commissioned Officer or Short Service Commissioned Officer, documentary evidence in this regard.

How to Calculate Marks for the MP Civil Judge Exam?

After the exam, Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission releases the answer key. You can use that MPCJ answer key to calculate your result before the final result. 

Note that the answer key for the preliminary and Mains exams are released separately.

  • Allot one mark for every correct answer
  • No marks will be deducted for wrong answers
  • No marks will be deducted for unattempted answers as well.

Madhya Pradesh Civil Judge Selection Process 2023

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) conducts the Madhya Pradesh Civil Judge Exam for recruitment to the post of Civil Judge in the State of Madhya Pradesh.

The selection of the candidate is based on the performance in all the stages of the exam. The selection process of the MP Judiciary Exam comprises three stages, i.e. Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination, and Personal Interview Round.

The marks obtained in all three stages are considered for the final selection. All three phases of the exam are qualifying in nature.

Here is the detailed selection process of the Madhya Pradesh civil judge examination: 

MPCJ Preliminary Examination 2023

The Madhya Pradesh Preliminary Exam consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions from various law-related topics.

  • The Madhya Pradesh high court directs a screening test of 100 questions as an initial selection stage.
  • These 100 questions are of 1 mark each, and you will get 3 hours to attempt it.
  • These 100 marks are further divided into two parts, i.e. Part I is 75 marks, and Part II is 25.
  • As per the Madhya Pradesh PCS J selection process, if you are scoring marks more than 45%, you are shortlisted and are eligible to give the Mains exam.

MPCJ Mains Examination 2023

After clearing the prelims exam, you are eligible for the mains exam.

The Mains exam comprises four papers of 100 marks each, and you will get 3 hours to attempt all four papers.

  • The Mains examination comprises a subjective type of question exam.
  • The Main Exam consists of written papers from various topics like the Indian Penal Code, Code of Civil Procedure, Transfer of Property, Evidence Act, etc.
  • Go through MP Judiciary Syllabus to know the essential subject-wise topics. 
  • The Mains examination consists of 4 papers, i.e. first paper on Civil Law, the second paper on English, the third paper on Criminal Law, and the fourth paper on General Knowledge.

MPCJ Personal Interview Round 2023

The Viva Voce is the final exam stage, where candidates are tested on their knowledge of the law.

If you belong to the general category, you must secure more than 60% of the marks. And if belonging to the SC/ST category, you must score more than 50% of marks in both Prelims and Mains to qualify for viva-voce.

The viva-voce is conducted for a total of 50 marks. The final selection is based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Mains exam and viva-voce.
