Vacancies available for allotment: Via examination and Direct Recruitment

According to a notification published by the High court of the state of Telangana Hyderabad, notification serial: 282/21 RC, It has been announced that the Telangana Judicial department has a total of 51 posts opening for recruitment, where there is a distribution of seats for recruitment via examination as well as direct recruitment, which are as follows:

The judicial examination is a replication of all other Judicial examinations, it means that it is going to have 3 stages before your selection is completed. Parameters of selecting the best candidates: The Eligibility requirements of the Telangana Judicial department

Now comes the critical part. The Telangana Judiciary Eligibility Criteria 2023, given below, has been dissected into three segments: age, qualifications, and nationality. Although there are other additional Terms and Conditions, we will cover this major trio. 

Age.

  • To be eligible to apply for/compete in the exam, you must be between the ages of 23 and 26
  • You must be under 26 at the appointment/acceptance of your position as judge. This condition also applies to all categories.
  • The Government of India has set age-related concessions for candidates from the designated class.
  • Remember that SC/ST candidates may be eligible for a 5-year relaxation. Although not required, it is enforced by state and federal law.

Notes: if you belong to a caste not classified under the Telangana state subordinate services rules, then you will fall under the OC category and be eligible to enjoy the relaxation similar to SC/ST.

Qualifications

The first and foremost qualification requirement is to have an LLB degree. Also, you must have acquired this degree from a BCI-recognized University, either at Central State or Private level. Also, you have to register under the Bar Council. You must register Under Section 24 (1) (f) of the Advocates Act, 1961, and the Bar Council of India. Also, you need 3 years of experience as a prosecutor or defender. 

Nationality

  • You first need to sustain Indian citizenship because only an Indian citizen will be considered eligible for this post. 
  • Also, the residents of Telangana will be given preference over applicants hailing from other states. Get a residential certificate from your block to ensure that and attach valid proof for the same claim. 
  • Also, if you are filling your form under any Caste segment, then ensure that you have attached the documents validating your claim. 
  • Additionally, Women Candidates will only receive the female quota benefits only if they have a residential certificate of Telangana.

Eligibility for Direct recruitment process

The eligibility criteria for direct recruitment are as follows: 

Qualifications: The first and most crucial qualification requirement is an LLB degree. You must also have earned this degree from a BCI-accredited university or the Central/State/Private Universities. 

Experience: You must also register with the Bar Council. To do so, you must register with the Bar Council of India and the Advocates Act, 1961, Section 24 (1) (f). You must acquire three years of experience as a prosecutor or defender at the district or High Court.

Age limit: Hailing from any of the categories, General, OC, or SC/ST, you must not be less than 25 years by the time of applying for the judicial examination. Also, you should not exceed the age limit of 35 if you are from the General or OC section, while candidates from SC/ST can attain around 45 (maximized age limit).

Quality you must not possess 

Some additional points you need to consider to fit into the eligibility criteria entirely are as follows, which are often get neglected, leading to disqualification:

  • Your application will get rejected, EnCase. You will not have Indian citizenship.
  • If you have been previously dismissed from the High court or any other government statutory body. 
  • Convicted for offence, including moral turpitude.
  • Someone who has been debarred from all forms of central and state government service given to certain causes. 
  • A person living with more than one spouse or has married someone else without divorcing the previous spouse. 
  • Anyone having previously lodged a criminal FIR against him/her.
