According to the Telangana Judiciary Age Limit, candidates whose age is between 23-26 years as of 01 July 2020 are eligible to apply under Telangana Judiciary direct recruitment whereas candidates age should not exceed 48 years as on 01 July 2020 applying under recruitment by transfer.

  • For physically handicapped students whose upper age limit is 35 years is relaxable by 10 years as per the Telangana State Judicial (Service & Cadre) Rules, 2017.
  • In the Telangana Judiciary Direct Recruitment, candiadtes are excluded from determining the age in case if they are served in the defence services of the Indian union and who is otherwise qualified and suitable, the period of service rendered by them in the defence service.

Candidates belonging to the OC category should have obtained 25 years of age and have not exceeded 35 years and candidates belonging to SC, ST, socially and educationally backward class must have not exceeded 40 years of age as on 01 July 2020.

Educational Qualification

Candiadtes must possess a degree of Law from any recognized university in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission and enrolled in the Bar Council of any other state.

  • The candidate must have been practicing as an advocate for more than 3 years on the date of notification.
  • The candidate must be a law graduate and must have secured a minimum of 60% marks and it is 55% for reserved category candidate. They must have obtained a Degree of Law within a period of 3 years prior to the date of Notification.
  • Under the category of fresh law graduates, a person who has enrolled as an advocate, but does not have 3 years of practice would be eligible to appear in the recruitment for the post of Civil Judge.
  • A candidate must have a good character in order to be eligible for the Civil Judge post.
