Round 2 of SLAT 2023 was successfully conducted on May 14, 2023, from 9 AM to 10 AM. Here is the SLAT analysis:

• The Logical Reasoning section was easy to moderate, with 10-12 minutes of completion time for most students.
• The Legal Reasoning section, of easy to moderate difficulty, took about 12-15 minutes to complete.

• The SLAT exam conducted was easy to moderate.
• Though students mentioned analysis was lengthy, the paper, on the whole, was so lengthy and doable in the given time period.

SLAT Analysis 2022 for Analytical Reasoning 

• It was easy to moderate.

• Vocabulary questions were easy, and 2 options could be easily eliminated. 

SLAT Analysis 2022 for Current Affairs

• The Current affairs section was easy.
• There were no questions asked from static GK. 
• Direct questions were asked from multiple random topics like Nobel prize winners. 
• Current affairs were from newspapers as well. 
• Current affairs from 2021 May to 2022 January. 

SLAT Analysis 2022 for Legal Reasoning

• This section was moderate and lengthy.
• Questions were based on Principle-Facts and a few questions on assertion-reason.
• No current legal knowledge was asked. 

SLAT Analysis 2021 Key Highlights

• The General Knowledge section included indirect questions, and it was in-depth. 
• The exam was not aligned with the dry run check, which was unexpected. 
• SIU conducted the entrance exam on Internet-based remote proctored mode. 
• The exam had 75-60 questions, which were to be attempted in 90 minutes (60 minutes for MCQ and 30 minutes for WAT).
• There was no sectional timing.

• The question paper was not lengthy as compared to the previous two days.

3. Reading Comprehension - 3 passages appeared short in length, picked from editorials, and all questions were direct. Passages were based on Rudyard Kipling & Colonialism, Downsides & Modern Technological Changes on our Environment, and the Maternity Benefit Act. 
4. Legal Reasoning - This section was lengthy. Questions were based on Principal Fact-based, Legal GK, Constitution, Contract Law, Torts, and IPC.
5. General Knowledge - Current affairs were more than static GK. Questions were asked about Geography, International Affairs, and History.
6. WAT - The first topic was Ban on Plastic: Ecology vs Economy. The second topic was whether Comedy is protected under freedom of speech and expression. Discuss in light of recent events.
