IIM Visakhapatnam Admission & Selection Criteria 2024

IIM-V admissions are conducted using a three-phase selection procedure. The parameters and weightage applied are the same for all categories of candidates. A handful of aspirants are shortlisted at each phase in each category to fulfil the reservation quota for each group. 

Phase 1

All aspirants who have cleared the CAT overall & sectional cutoffs and have chosen IIM Vizag as one of their choices in the CAT form will be considered for further rounds. Candidates will receive an email and must submit the form and the required documents within the stipulated time. 

Phase 2

Students who clear phase 1 will then go through another shortlist based on a score calculated on the following parameters: 

• CAT- 50 
• 10th Board- 10 
• 12th Board- 10 
• Bachelors- 10 
• Diversity- 10 {Gender (Female & Transgender)} 
• Work Experience- 10 

Phase 3

IIIM Visakhapatnam Admission 2024: How to Apply? 

• Admission to IIM Vizag courses is open for the academic year 2024. The application is required for each of the courses offered, i.e., PGP, PGPEx, and EMBA.
• Find below the details regarding the application processes required for the various courses Visakhapatnam IIM offers. 
• The application process for the PGPM and EMBA programs at IIM Visakhapatnam takes place via CAT. Therefore, candidates must register on the official CAT website (www.iimcat.ac.in). 
• For PGPEX, the application process is as follows: 

Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official application.

Step 2: Candidates must submit the necessary documents along with the application form. 

Step 3: For the PGPEX application form, a non-refundable fee must be paid online through the ‘Online Fee Payment’ SBI link on the Institute’s website: https://www.iimv.ac.in. 

Step 4: The same INR 1000 applies to all categories for appearing in the IIMV test. 

Step 5: The IIMV test will be held online. 

Step 6: After reviewing the application form, candidates will be shortlisted and called for a Personal Interview. 

Step 7: Candidates must produce a “No Objection Certificate” at the interview. 

Step 8: Selection will be based on composite scores from the CAT/GMAT/GRE/IIMV Test, diversity, technical knowledge and domain experience, SOP, references, and personal interview. 

Step 9: The admission offer will be made to a certain percentage of applicants depending on the availability of seats and their satisfying a minimum cut-off on the composite score.
