IBPS RRB Law Officer Age Limit 2026

To be eligible for the IBPS RRB Law Officer exam, you must be between 21 and 32 years old as of September 1, 2026. Candidates should not have been born earlier than September 2, 1993 and later than September 1, 2004 (both dates inclusive).

IBPS RRB Law Officer Educational Qualification

You must hold an LLB or equivalent degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. If you are appearing for the final year, the result must have been declared on or before September 21, 2026. 

Is a 3-Year LLB Eligible for IBPS RRB Law Officer?

If you have a 3-year LLB degree with the required minimum marks, then you are eligible to apply for the exam. But you have to satisfy other eligibility criteria to fill out the application form. 

Can Final-Year LLB Students Apply for IBPS RRB Law Officer?

Final-year LLB students can not apply for the IBPS RRB Law Officer exam as their results are not declared and they do not have their marks. To be eligible for the exam, you must have a minimum of 50% marks in your LLB degree.

How Much Work Experience is Required for IBPS RRB Law Officer?

To be eligible for IBPS RRB Law Officer exam, you must have,

  • At least 2 years of professional experience as an Advocate or
  • A Law Officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

Is Banking Experience Compulsory for IBPS RRB Law Officer?

No, if you have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Advocate, you can apply for the exam. Banking experience is required only if you do not have experience as an Advocate.

What is the Nationality Requirement for IBPS RRB Law Officer?

According to the IBPS RRB Law Officer eligibility criteria, you must be either 

  • a Citizen of India or
  • a subject of Nepal or
  • a subject of Bhutan or
  • a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
