DU LLB Colleges and Seats 2022

The National Testing Agency will conduct the DU LLB 2022 exam for Shortlisting candidates for admission to the DU LLB participating institutes, there are three DU LLB institutes i.e. CLC - Campus Law College, LC 1 - Law College 1, and LC 2 - Law College 2 providing a total seat intake to 3320 students.

The final admission of the students will depend on the candidate's DU LLB 2022 rank, category, and choice of the institute.

NTA will declare the results and a merit list after the exam based on which students will be called for the online counselling and seat allotment process of DU LLB 2022. 

Tentatively counselling is expected to be from the first to the second week of October, 2022. 

  • The counselling and seat allotment process will be performed in three rounds. Candidates who have been assigned seats must apply for enrollment.
  • Candidates will be required to present their original documents as part of the document verification procedure after applying for admissions.
  • On the basis of the candidates entrance exam scores, Delhi University offers admission to 3320 LLB seats in three separate centres of the Faculty of Law.
  • The number of candidates accepting and rejecting the given seats in the counselling seat assignment rounds determines the number of seats available.
  • DU LLB 2022 counselling for students in the General, EWS, ST, SC, OBC, and PWD categories shall be handled by the central university.
  • The number of candidates applying for the available seats will determine the number of rounds of counselling.
  • The authority will issue a counselling schedule, and students must report to the location with all relevant documentation.
  • If a candidate fails to attend the counselling session in person when the schedule is announced, the seat will be assigned to another competent candidate.
  • After completing all of the processes, the candidate must submit the college course fee.

DU LLB 2022: Seat Allotment Procedure

After the declaration of the DU LLB 2022 Result, qualified candidates can register themselves to participate in the counselling process for the DU LLB admissions.

Admission will be based on the rank secured by the candidate in the DU LLB 2022 Merit List.

Follow the procedure mentioned below to register for DU LLB 2022 Counselling .

Application Form

  • Only DU LLB 2022 qualified students can apply for admission. 
  • There will be a common DU LLB application form for admissions, NTA will process the common application form and carry out the joint seat allocation process.
  • The common application form will be available through the Admissions Portal. The link for the same shall be available on the official DU LLB 2022 website.
  • Applicants must fill in their credentials to login and select the institute of their choice by indicating the order of preference.

Supporting Documents

For the DU LLB 2022 counselling, applicant is required to present the documents for admission procedures a list of documents required is: 

  1. E-admit card for DU LLB 2022
  2. Candidates DU LLB 2022 Rank Card or Merit Card
  3. Application form for DU LLB 2022
  4. Original 10th pass certificate and one copy of the same
  5. Original 12th pass certificate and one copy of the same
  6. Graduation certificate
  7. Migration certificate (graduation)
  8. Original graduation marks sheet and one photocopy of the same
  9. College leaving certificate
  10. Character certificate
  11. Caste Certificate (If applicable)
  12. PWD certificate (If applicable)

Updating Information

  • Seat allocation will be based on the All India Rank (merit order), reservation category, and seat availability in each institute at the time of seat allocation. 
  • Applicants will be able to edit their application form, including the order of preference of institutes, and resubmit it, till the closing date of the application period. 
  • However, after the closing date, all institute choices and information filled in the applications are treated as FINAL. Requests for ANY changes in the application will be strictly NOT entertained.

DU LLB 2022: Seat Allotment Rules

  • Conducting body will schedule three rounds of seat allocation. However, once the seats are filled, the seat allocation process will be closed. 
  • Seats will be provisionally allotted based on the applicant’s DU LLB 2022 rank, category, and choice of institutes. Selected candidates will be sent provisional allotment letters via their registered email.
  • Candidates with a higher rank than others would be given first preference when it comes to seat allocation. 
  • The names of the successful candidates, as well as their marks, category rank, and other details, will appear on the DU LLB seat allotment list.
  • Shortlisted candidates must pay the course fee within the notice timeframe and report to the allotted centre according to the university's instructions.
  • If the selected candidates do not remit the seat acceptance fee before the given deadline or decline the admission, their application will stand cancelled. 
  • These vacant seats will be filled during the subsequent rounds of seat allotment.

Reporting at the allotted College after DU LLB 2022 Counselling 

After the completion of the DU LLB 2022 counselling and seat allotment process, candidates will have to visit their allotted college to complete all the admission formalities. Their original documents will be verified in the college. If any discrepancy is found at the time of admission, then the admitting institute will reserve the right to cancel the admission of that candidate.

Frequently Asked Questions

The result of the Entrance Test shall be notified on the University Website www.du.ac.in. All notices relating to admission, counselling, etc., shall be notified on the same website and may also be displayed on the Notice Board of the Admission Committee, Faculty of Law. No individual communication will be sent to any candidate for this purpose.

Delhi University offers admission to students on the basis of merit in the entrance exam. An entrance exam is conducted by the University and admission is granted on the basis of scores obtained in the entrance examination followed by counselling and seat allotment process. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the admission process is online.

In case if there is a tie between two students then there is a need to develop common guidelines to break the tie to prepare the final merit list. Accordingly, the following rules are recommended to break the tie: 

  • The candidate having higher score/better rank in the exam shall be ranked higher in the merit list for admission. 
  • If the process mentioned in point 1 does not break the tie, then the total percentage of marks obtained in class 12th shall be considered for merit and the candidate having higher percentage of marks shall be ranked higher in the merit list for admission. 
  • If the process mentioned in point 2 does not break the tie, then the Candidates age must be given preference and who are older shall be ranked higher in the merit list for admission. 
  • If the tie still exists, such candidates will be assigned the same rank
