SSC released the most awaited CGL Notification 2019-20 on October 22, 2019. There were few major changes introduced in the SSC Notification for CGL Exam 2019. If you are willing to apply for CGL Exam, then go through the Changes in SSC CGL Exam and apply for your desired post.

SSC CGL 2019 Important Exam Dates

Major Changes Introduced in SSC CGL Notification 2019

As soon as the SSC CGL Notification 2019 was released, there were few major changes in the SSC CGL Exam. Here is the list of changes seen in the Notification of SSC CGL 2019 Exam.

  • Based on the marks scored in Tier-I i.e. CBE, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in CGL Tier-II and Tier-III Exam.
  • Separate cut-offs will be fixed for Paper-III of Tier-II (i.e. for the post of JSO and Statistical Investigator Grade-II), Paper-IV of Tier-II (i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer) and for Paper-I + Paper-II of Tier-II (i.e. for all other posts)
  • Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in Tier-I.
  • In Tier-II, all the candidates will be required to appear in Paper-I and Paper-II.
  • However, only specific candidates shortlisted for the posts of JSO/ Statistical Investigator and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer will be required to appear in Paper-III and Paper-IV respectively.
  • Based on the aggregate performance in Tier-I and Tier-II Exams, candidates will be shortlisted for evaluation of the CGL Tier-III Exam.
  • The candidates who are not qualified in Tier-II will not be eligible for the evaluation of Tier-III and they will not be considered for the further selection process.
  • The SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria has been revised for a few posts. Candidates applying for the below posts must check the eligibility and then apply.

Education Qualification: Candidates must have a Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by Central Government on or before 01 January 2020.

Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO)

Bachelor's Degree from a Recognized University or Institute. Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.

Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) Bachelor's Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level  OR Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
Statistical Investigator Grade II Graduation in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects. Candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years of the graduation course.
Other Posts Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or Equivalent

Age Limit: There are different Age criteria for all posts however, go through the below table and know the current Age Limit to be followed.
