The main eligibility required for the CGL exam is that a candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized University and he/she age must be between 18-32 years to fill the online form.

  • Candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply for the CGL 2021 exam. However, they must possess Essential qualifications on or before 01 January 2021.

SSC CGL Nationality 2021

As per the SSC CGL citizenship criteria, a candidate applying for CGL 2021 exam must satisfy the following criteria:

  • A citizen of India
  • A subject of Nepal (or) Bhutan
  • Also, a refugee from Tibet who came to India before January 1, 1962, with an objective to settle in India permanently.
  • Moreover, a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ( Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Burma, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam with an objective to settle in India permanently.

SSC CGL Education Qualification 2021

Candidates must have a graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by Central Government on or before 01 January 2021.

Statistical Investigator Grade II Graduation in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects. Candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years of the graduation course.

SSC CGL Age Limit 2021

Age Limit (As of 01-01-2021)

Candidates must note that the present age limit is calculated from the date of birth mentioned in class 10 and 12 board certificates. The required age limit for various posts is mentioned in the below table.

Age-Relaxation

Every category has different years of age relaxation. OBC has 3 years. On the other side, SC/ST has 5 years. The following table expands about the age relaxation for different categories:

  • For Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer – During the period of probation, direct recruits shall have to qualify the “Subordinate Audit Service Examination” in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
  • Age relaxation is not applicable to sons, daughters, and dependents of Ex-Servicemen.

SSC CGL Physical Requirements 2021

Physical Standards for the Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/Preventive officer)

Male 157.5 cm Chest has to be 81 cm with a minimum of 5 cm expansion. Note: The Garhwali, Assamese, Gorkhas and the Scheduled Tribes Candidates have been provided a relaxation of 5 cm.

Physical Test

The candidates must go through the required physical standards for SI in CBI as per the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2021.

  1. I will be writing my BA(distance) exams in December 2018. I will most probably get my certificate till next February (2019). Am I eligible for ssc cgl 2018?
