What is the Education Qualification Criteria?

Education Qualification: Candidates must have a Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by Central Government on or before 01 January 2020.

Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO) Bachelor’s Degree from a Recognized University or Institute. Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level  OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
Statistical Investigator Grade II Graduation in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects. Candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years of the graduation course.

What is the Age-Limit for SSC CGL?

The minimum age to apply for SSC CGL exam is 18 years. Age-relaxation varies from one category to another. The following table tells the SSC CGL Age Eligibility for different categories and posts:

Age-Relaxation

Every category has different years of age relaxation. OBC has 3 years. On the other side, SC/ST has 5 years. The following table expands about the age relaxation for different categories:

  • For Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer – During the period of probation, direct recruits shall have to qualify the “Subordinate Audit Service Examination” in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
  • So, the candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria for Citizenship 2019-20:

As per the SSC CGL citizenship criteria, a candidate who applied for SSC CGL 2019 has to be:

  • A citizen of India (or) Nepal (or) Bhutan
  • Also, a refugee from Tibet who came to India before January 1, 1962, with an objective to settle in India permanently.
  • Moreover, a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ( Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Burma, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam with an objective to settle in India permanently.

Physical Requirements: SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria

There is a certain level of eligibility criteria when it comes to the physique of the candidate.

Physical Standards for the Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/Preventive officer)

Sex Height Chest Weight
Male 157.5 cm Chest has to be 81 cm with a minimum of 5 cm expansion. Note: The Garhwali, Assamese, Gorkhas and the Scheduled Tribes Candidates have been provided a relaxation of 5 cm.
Female 152 Cm. height can be relaxed by 2.5 cm Weight should be 48 kgs. The Garhwali, Assamese, Gorkhas and the Scheduled Tribes Candidates have been provided a weight relaxation of 2 kgs.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria: Physical standards

The following table tells the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria for Physical standards of the candidate:

Male The candidate has to cover 1600 meters within 15 minutes

 

The candidate has to complete 8kms within 30 minutes
Female The candidate has to cover 100 meters in 15 minutes – The candidate has to cover 3 km in 25 minutes

SSC CGL Eligibility for physical standards for SI in CBI

The candidates must go through the required physical standards for SI in CBI as per the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2019
