Gujarat Civil Judge Exam Fee

Fees of the Gujarat High Court Civil Judge Exam depend on the category you belong to. If you belong to the general classification, you must pay Rs.1,000 and other bank charges for the exam.

The application fee is Rs. 500 if you belong to a scheduled tribe, scheduled caste, physically disabled person, educationally or socially backward classes, veterans, etc.

A call letter is a mandatory thing you must carry to the exam hall without fail. Gujarat Judicial Services Commission will release the admit card two weeks before the exam.

According to the Judiciary Exam Pattern, there are three stages in the Gujarat Civil Judge post-selection process: prelims, mains, and interview/viva-voce.

The Preliminary Examination of the Gujarat Judiciary will be objective.

  • Paper –1 (Law) 
  • Paper – 2 (Test of Gujarati Language) 

- Prelims question paper 1 consists of 100 questions, and each question carries one mark. 

- There is a negative marking of 0.33 for each wrongly answered question.  

- The duration of prelim paper 1 is 2 hours. 

- You must score a minimum of 50% marks in the prelims exam to get shortlisted for the mains examination.

- The duration of the prelim's paper 2 is half an hour. 

Mains Exam Pattern

The Gujarat Judiciary mains examination consists of two papers:

Viva-Voce Test (Oral Interview)

The viva-voce shall carry 50 marks. The main objective of the viva-voce is to assess your suitability for the cadre by judging the knowledge of the Law, the balance of the judgment, mental alertness, clear and logical exposition, attitude, skills, ethics, power of communication, power of assimilation, intellectual depth.

You need to score at least 40% marks in this test to get selected for the Civil Judge post in Gujarat.
