UP APO Application Process – Step by Step Guide

The application process for UP APO 2025 is divided into five main stages. Let’s go through them one by one.

Step 1 – OTR Registration (One Time Registration)

The very first step is OTR registration on the UPPSC website. Without completing this, you cannot access the APO application form.

1. Visit the official UPPSC website.

2. Click on “OTR Registration” link. - https://uppsc.up.nic.in/OTR_Section/OTR_Registartion.aspx

3. Fill in personal details like:

  • Full name (as per Class 10 certificate)
  • Date of Birth
  • Father’s / Mother’s Name
  • Mobile Number & Email ID
  • Address details

4. Create a password and generate your OTR ID.

5. Save this OTR ID carefully – you’ll use it for every UPPSC exam in the future.

Why OTR is important?

It eliminates repeated data entry for every exam and acts as your permanent candidate ID with UPPSC.

Step 2 – Authentication of Information

Once OTR is done, log in at UPPSC Website with your OTR ID and password. Here you need to:

  • Select Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Examination 2025.
  • Confirm your personal details (name, DOB, address) already stored in OTR.
  • Enter additional exam-related information:
  • Domicile status
  • Category (UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS)
  • Reservation details (PwD, Women, Ex-servicemen, DFF, if applicable).

Step 3 – Payment of Examination Fee

After authentication, you need to pay the application fee online.

Modes of payment: Payment will be accepted through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking. Make the payment and Save and print your payment receipt—it will be required at later stages.

Step 4 – Filling the UP APO Application Form

Now comes the main step—filling out the UP APO application form.

1. Enter your educational qualifications (LLB degree details, year of passing, marks).

2. Fill in other relevant information such as:

  • Address details
  • Work experience (if any)
  • Reservation category details

3. Upload scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

4. Review the entire form carefully—spelling mistakes in name or mismatch in DOB can cause disqualification.

5. Once satisfied, submit the form online.

Step 5 – Final Submission & Printout

After submission, download the confirmation page.

Take a printout of the application form and fee receipt.

Save your Registration Number and Password safely.

Remember: UPPSC does not require you to send a physical copy of the form to their office. The online submission is final.

Correction Window for UP APO Application 2025

Examination authority provides a short correction window in case of mistakes. Correction window opens after 17th October 2025 and last date for the correction is 24th October 2025. if you want to make any chnages in the name category you have choose you have to do it before the deadline.

What you can edit:

  • Minor errors in personal details (except name, DOB, email, mobile).
  • Category details.
  • Uploaded photo and signature.

What you cannot edit:

Core registration details such as your name, father’s name, date of birth, and registered contact information.

Don’t rely on the correction window. Fill the form carefully the first time to avoid unnecessary hassle.
