Compilation of TISSNET 2020 Result

The TISSNET Result is released in two different formats which include:

  • TISS MAT / TISSNET 2020 scorecard: TISSNET 2020 Scorecard is prepared as per the marking scheme of the exam. For each correct answer, candidates get 1 mark. Since there is no negative marking, no marks are not deducted for incorrect answer.
  • TISSNET 2020 merit list: The final merit list of TISSNET is only prepared on the basis of performance in PI round. For TISS NET merit list preparation, the score of TISSNET and PI are considered in the ratio of 60:40.

What After TISSNET Result 2020-21

Upon announcement of TISSNET Exam Result and invitation for the rounds of TISSNET PIT/PI, students are expected to appear for the Pre-Interview Rounds which is a written test followed by Personal Interview where students are asked questions about their chosen streams and details mentioned by them in their TISSNET Application Forms. Result of TISSNET PIT/PI are declared soon after the conclusion of the Interview rounds and students who qualify that are invited for the document verification and payment of fees. Students are then finally admitted post their successful document verification stage.

TISSNET 2021 Merit List

Final Merit List of TISSNET is prepared to take into consideration marks scored by students in all three rounds viz. Online examination, Pre-Interview Tests, Interview Rounds. Separate will be prepared for students from different categories. Based upon the position of students in the Final Merit of TISSNET and vacancies in their subsequent streams, admissions will be done.   • In case of equal final marks, Personal Interview Marks are given first priority

Types of TISS Exam Merit List 2020

There are different types of merit lists published for TISS Admission:

  • Open Merit List (OML)- This merit list is prepared course-wise. Candidates qualifying TISS-MAT and PI round are given merit positions in the list. The OML Merit List is prepared by considering aggregate score of TISS-MAT and PI, and candidate's choice of programs given in the application form.
  • Category-Wise Merit List (CML) - This list is prepared considering categories of candidates. This CML is used for allotment of seats reserved for each category as per the Government of India / UGC norms.

TISSNET Wait List

TISSNET also has a provision of generating a waiting list for students who could not make it to the TISSNET Merit List. However, there are certain terms and conditions around it. Let us study them in detail below.

How is TISSNET Wait List Prepared?

  • Candidates getting admitted to their second preference will be considered for the waiting list of their first preference. Similarly, candidates admitted into their third preference will be considered for the waitlist of their first and second choice.
  • Candidates, who get admission in a program lower in their order of preferences, will be retained in the wait-list of a preference higher in the order, till the seats in that program are filled.
  • In the case of candidates qualifying in two programs at the same time, when the waitlist is activated, the higher preference will prevail. TISS will offer admission only to the higher preference.

TISSNET Counselling 2020

After successful qualifying of the TISSNET Exam, candidates will be shortlisted for counselling stage. The TISSNET Counselling is conducted after the declaration of the TISS Exam result. Candidates qualifying the exam above the cut off will be eligible for counselling. On the day of counselling, candidates need to carry certain documents for verification that are listed below:

  • 10th, 12th and degree original mark sheets and certificates
  • TISSNET Admit card and scorecard
  • 5 passport size photographs
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)

TISS Admission 2020

After checking the TISSNET Result and if scored above the cut off, then candidates need to report for document verification and proceed with the admission process. During the admission, candidates need to submit few documents like mark sheets, grade sheets, certificates of the qualifying examination. 

  • Candidates who have not yet received their mark sheets or certificates of their final year, they must submit it by September 30, 2020.
  • Candidates selected for admission must submit the attested photocopy of the qualifying examination.
  • Mark Sheets and Certificates downloaded from the Internet are not accepted at the time of admission.
