TISSNET Cut Off 2020 Check Expected & Previous Year Cut Off Marks

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) directs TISSNET (National Entrance Test) every year for the students who want to take admission in the post-graduation program i.e. M.A/ M.SC/ M.P.H/ M.H.A/ MBA-HR. Interested candidates can go through the complete post to know the TISSNET Cut Off.

  • In the TISSNET Exam, there are 3 different cutoffs issued by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. First, the Qualifying Cut off depends on the computer-based test.
  • Second Cut off for PIT AND PI selection this cut off depends upon your score in the personal interview round or the group discussion round.
  • Lastly, the final cut off for the admission of the candidate this cut off is released and made on the basis of your score in both computer-based tests and in personal interview round.
  • The qualifying cut off will be released in the month of February 2021.
  • The personal interview round (PI) or group discussion will be released in the month of April 2021.
  • And the final cut off will be released in the month of June 2021. After that, the admission will begin and college will start in the month of August 2021.
  • The TISSNET cut off depends on various factors i.e. the number of candidates that appeared for the exam, level of the exam, the number of applicants qualifying the exam, and the number of seats available for the admission.
  • The candidate who gets more than 74 marks in the exam can be shortlisted for the final selection.

TISSNET Cut off 2020

  • The TISS National Entrance Test consists of 1 computer-based test for the admission.
  • It is the computer-based online exam of 100 minutes in which there will be 100 questions from 3 subjects i.e. 40 questions from General Awareness, 30 questions from the English Language, and 30 questions Maths and Logical Reasoning.
  • There is 1 mark allotted for each correct answer and no negative marking for incorrect answer.
  • The cut off of 2020 has been declared on the basis of the marks and difficulty level of the test.
  • The cut off had not yet released for the 2020 year. Generally, the cut off marks will be released after the declaration of the TISSNET Result.

TISSNET Seats Reservation

  • The maximum seats are reserved for the OBC (Other backward Classes) Category i.e. 27%.
  • 15 % seats are reserved for the Scheduled Caste (SC) category candidates
  • 5% seats are reserved under the Schedule Tribe (ST) category.
  • 5% of seats are reserved for the candidate who comes under the armed forces category.
  • Only 1% of the total seats are reserved for the Kashmiri migrants.

  • First and foremost step for the selection is that the candidates have to give a computer-based online test of 100 marks.
  • Secondly, after qualifying the online test he or she has to clear the Group Discussion or Pre-Interview Test of 50 marks.
  • Lastly, candidates have to clear the personal interview round which is of 75 marks. If the candidate has clear all these 3 steps then only he or she is eligible for admission in TISS.
