  • Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) invites online applications from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment to the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) Specialist.
  • Candidates should apply through On-line mode only. No other means/mode of application will be accepted.
  • There a total of 30 vacancies for the post of  Assistant Administrative Officers (AAO) Law.

LIC AAO Eligibility Criteria 2025

  • Education: LLB with 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwBD in reserved posts)
  • Experience: Enrolled as Advocate + 2 years' practice or Legal Officer in bank/company/Govt after enrolment

Steps to Apply for LIC AAO Application Form 2025

  • Go to the LIC official website.
  • Look for LIC AAO 2025 application link.
  • Click on "new registration".
  • The candidate should have a valid email address and mobile number to apply.
  • Login again to fill the complete application form.
  • Enter all the required details asked to fill the form.
  • Upload photograph and signature in a given required format.
  • Proceed to pay the LIC AAO Application Fee.
  • Submit the LIC AAO Application Form.
  • Download it and take a print out for future reference.

Prelims Exam Pattern

  • Reasoning: 35 Qs/35 marks/20 min
  • English: 35 Qs/35 marks/20 min (Qualifying)
  • General Awareness: 30 Qs/30 marks/20 min (Qualifying)
  • Total: 100 Qs/70 marks/60 min
  • 1/4th negative marking for wrong answers
  • About 20x vacancies called for mains (category-wise)

Mains Exam Pattern

  • Reasoning: 30 Qs/30 marks/20 min

  • General Awareness (Finance/Insurance): 20 Qs/20 marks/10 min

  • Professional Knowledge (Law): 50 Qs/100 marks/30 mi

  • Objective Total: 100 Qs/150 marks/60 min

  • Professional Knowledge Descriptive (Law): 50 marks (converted to 150)/60 min

  • English Descriptive: 25 marks (qualifying)/30 min

  • No negative marking, all sections qualifying marks must be met

Interview & Merit List

  • Interview: 60 marks
  • Qualifying: 27 (SC/ST/PwBD), 30 (UR/OBC/EWS)
  • Final Merit: Mains + Interview
  • Medical fitness mandatory, posting can be anywhere in India

Service Bond & Posting

  • 4-year service bond (incl. probation)

  • Initial posting: up to 1 yr anywhere, then in legal cells

  • Early exit: Rs.5 lakh penalty

  • Transfers as per LIC policy
