HSEE IIT Madras CutOff

IIT Madras conducts Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Exam every year for admissions into 5-year integrates MA program. The exam was conducted on 31st of July and the result was declared on 17th of August.

After the declaration of the results, the only thing that holds up as a barrier is the Cut-off marks.

• Even the score cards do not satisfy most of the students until they see the cut-off marks for their respective categories.
• As the cut-off for different categories varies so, it won't be possible to calculate your rank before that.
• Thereafter the counseling invitation will be forwarded to the candidates who have cleared the cut-off marks for their respective categories.

As per the officials, the cut-off marks will be declared soon after the results. It will mainly depend on the number of students appearing for the HSEE Exam 2022 and the total number of seats available for admissions.

This will quantify the total number of candidates moving forward for the HSEE Counseling process.

HSEE Cut-off Criteria 2022

Keeping in mind the HSEE Eligibility Criteria and the HSEE cut-off criteria a candidate to successfully qualify in their respective category, they will have to surpass these criteria-

• Candidates in the Gen-EWS & OBC-NCL category must score at least 50% in the entrance examination.
• SC/ST category candidates must score 25% in the examination.
• PwD candidates have to score 25% in the entrance exam.

The merit list will then be prepared based on the candidates passing the respective criteria limit. The HSEE Merit List be will officially published on the website along with the names of the top rank scorers.

Based on this merit, list each passing candidate will be alloted seats for admissions. Each passing candidate will be informed via mail and will be invited to the counseling process. Here students will have to carry all the necessary documents as mentioned in the invitation mail.

HSEE Tie Breaker 2022

In some cases, if two or more students secure the same marks in the HSEE entrance exam, then the Officials use a few criteria to differentiate the ranks. Those criteria are mentioned below-

• Candidates scoring higher in HSEE Part II will always be ranked higher.
• Even after this, if the tie persists, the candidates securing higher in the General Studies section of the Part I exam are ranked higher.
• If the tie still exists, the candidates scoring higher in the Analytical Abilities section of the Part I exam are ranked higher.
• Lastly, if compared for all the above criteria, the tie still persists, then the candidates are allotted the same rank.

HSEE Merit List 2022

The merit list for IIT Madras HSEE examination will decide whether a particular student will be invited for the counceling process or not. The list will be prepared based on the Cut-off criteria, each student has to achieve for their respective categories. After the list has been created the selected students will be called for the counceling process and will be alloted seats accordingly.

• The best part here is that every student who appear for the exam has a chance to get enlisted in the merit list.
• The category-wise ranking alloted to students give advantage to many students.
• The selected students will officially be called for the seat allotment and admission process.

HSEE Seat Allotment 2022

Officially after the merit list declaration, all the students enlisted in the list will then be called for the next round. This round will be seat allotment for all the students exceeding the HSEE Cut Off criteria and making their way in to the HSEE merit list.

The seat allotment process can be simplified as admission process or counceling process.

• An offiicial invitation will  be sent to the students enlisted in the HSEE merit list 2022.
• The mail will consist all the details like- date of counseling, time of arrival and venue.
• The students will be required to carry all the documents mentioned in the invitation mail as per the guidelines.
• Students failing to present any document in the verification process will be disqualified for admissions.

Here in IIT Madras HSEE exam the students will be admitted based on reservation on seat allocation as well. The category-wise reservation is mentioned below-
