President Droupadi Murmu inauguratd new building of Jharkhand High Court

President Droupadi Murmu is on a three-day visit to Jharkhand starting on 24th May 2023. Inaugurated the new building of the High Court of Jharkhand at Ranchi, Ranchi is the capital of the Indian state of Jharkhand. And also was the centre of the Jharkhand movement,

On 25th May, Thursday, President Murmu will grace a conference of more than 500 Women Self Help Groups organized by Tribal Affairs Ministry at Khunti.

She will also preside the 2nd convocation of Indian Institute of Information Technology in Ranchi. The President will also attend a civic reception to be hosted in her honour. 

UP government inaugurated online education program 'Pahal' for rural children

Chief secretary Durga Shankar Mishra inaugurated an online rural education programme ‘Pahal’ at Government UP Sainik Inter College, Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow, This programme has been prepared by the department of secondary education in collaboration with IIT Kanpur

The initiative aims to provide educational opportunities to rural children who have limited access to quality education. Pahal' is designed to bridge the education gap between rural and urban areas. Under this program, in the initial phase, free online education will be provided in 10 government secondary schools of the state. Through these classes, students of rural areas will be able to get the latest information related to science and mathematics. The Chief Secretary said that the online rural education initiative is a new and good beginning.

3rd Khelo India University games start in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh

Third Khelo India University games started with the Kabaddi event on 23rd May 2023 evening in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. with over 4,000 athletes and officials from 207 universities across the country participating in 21 disciplines.

 The official inauguration ceremony will be held today, 24th May in Lucknow in which the Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part virtually.

Union Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur and Chief minister Yogi Adityanath also took part in the inaugural function. Reviewing preparations for the Khelo India University Games, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath yesterday directed the officials to ensure that the event to be  grand and create a unique image of Uttar Pradesh in the field of sports.

This edition of KIUG promises an exciting addition with the introduction of water sports. The serene Taal Lake in Ramgarh, Gorakhpur, will serve as the venue for a gripping rowing contest. This inclusion reflects the organizers’ commitment to diversify and expand the range of sporting disciplines, offering athletes unique opportunities to showcase their talent and passion.

TV actor Nitesh Pandey dies due to heart attack at the age of 51

Television actor Nitesh Pandey, who gained popularity with Starplus show, Anupamaa, died due to a heart attack today. The 51-year-old actor suffered cardiac arrest in Igatpuri, Maharashtra,

In 1990, Nitesh Pandey started acting in plays. Nitesh Pandey has appeared in serials including 'Manzilein Apani Apani', 'Astitva...Ek Prem Kahani', 'Saaya', 'Justajoo', and Durgesh Nandini. He also worked on the films like 'Om Shanti Om' and 'Badhaai Do'. The actor, who has been an established name on Indian television for the past 20 years, was most recently seen 'Anupamaa'. He played Dheeraj Kumar, the best friend of Gaurav Khanna, who played Anuj Kapadia.

Nitesh was born and raised in Almora, Uttrakhand. He got married to Arpita Pandey, an actress whom he had first met on the television show Justajoo. In 2003, the couple tied the knot. Nitesh was also previously married to actress Ashwini Kalsekar.

Renowned Telugu writer Kethu Viswanatha Reddy passes away

Noted writer and novelist Kethu Viswanatha Reddy passed away. He was 84. According to reports, he suffered cardiac arrest on Monday morning and was rushed to a nearby hospital. But doctors couldn't save his life and the writer breathed his last in the hospital.

Kethu Viswanatha Reddy  hails from Rangasaipuram of Erraguntla mandal of YSR district in Andhra Pradesh was living in Kadapa for long. Started his career as a journalist, Viswanatha Reddy shifted to teaching profession and retired as Director of Ambedkar Universal University.

He has won several awards and honours for his literary works including the Kendra Sahitya Akademi award. His major works include Anaadivaallu, Kethu Viswanatha Reddy Kathalu, Verlu - Bodhi, Icchagni, Japtu, Drishti, Deepadaarulu, Parichayam, Patrikeyam, Sangamam and Mana Kodavatiganti

IDBI Bank appoints Jayakumar S. Pillai as Deputy Managing Director

IDBI Bank approved Jayakumar S. Pillai as Deputy Managing Director on the Board of the bank, The company announced through an exchange filing. The bank's board of directors approved the appointment for a period of three years from the date of his taking charge as approved by the RBI.

Jayakumar S. Pillai has 32 years and 7 months of experience in Canara Bank. He has headed branches in various scales across different geographies and has rich experience in branch banking, mobilization of retail resources, Credit delivery in sectors like Retail, Agriculture, MSME and Recovery. He has also worked as Chief Executive of Canara Bank's UK operations for over 4 years and gained experience in International banking.

Paytm Payments Bank gets RBI nod to re-appoint Vijay Shekhar as part-time chair for 1 year

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has given its nod to Paytm Payments Bank for the re-appointment of Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma as part-time chairman for a year, according to a regulatory filing by the fintech firm to the stock exchanges.

About: Vijay Shekhar Sharma - Vijay Shekhar Sharma is an Indian technology entrepreneur and multimillionaire business magnate. He is the founder chairman, managing director of One97 Communications founded in 1997 and its consumer brand Paytm which he started in 2010

One97 holds a 49 per cent stake in PPBL and Sharma holds the rest of the stake in the entity. Paytm's consolidated net loss narrowed to ₹168.4 crore in the fourth quarter of FY23, compared to a loss of ₹761.4 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
