Eligibility for St. Xavier's College Entrance Test 2026

• To be eligible, the candidate should have cleared the Qualifying 12th Examination with at least 40 per cent aggregate marks.
• Candidate’s date of birth must fall on or after 1st June 2004.
• Only the following documents will be accepted as proof of date of birth: School Leaving Certificate, Board / Pre-University Certificate, / Birth Certificate issued by a Competent Authority.
• For Christian minority candidates, a Baptism Certificate or equivalent is mandatory.

• The final Examination of the 10 + 2 system is conducted by any recognised Central / State Board, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Mumbai, Pune, or any other State Boards, Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.).) • Intermediate or 2-Year Pre-University Examination conducted by the authorities.
• High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva
• Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling, with a minimum of 5 subjects
• Diploma in any Engineering branch with a two-, three-, or four-year duration after passing the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or equivalent examination.
• If a candidate has passed the Qualifying Examination from a Board or Pre-University other than the Maharashtra State Board, they need to apply for a Provisional Eligibility Certificate issued by the University of Mumbai through the College during admission.
• The St. Xavier's application form, along with an attested copy of the Class XII mark sheet and prescribed fees, should be submitted to the college office when admission is offered.

• Candidates are required to make an online payment only through the provided payment portal. 
• NOTE: Filling out the St. Xavier's College, Mumbai application form and the Payment for the XET Exam 2026 will be available only through the online portal of St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.

1. Log on to the official website.
2. Follow the instructions for filling out the online Application Form.
3. The fee payment step is in the middle of the application form; once payment is officially received, the candidate will receive a confirmation email. You are required to print the form once completed.
4. If you want to resume filling/editing details in your form after payment and/or upon completion of the form, click the link on the website to access your form by your form no/mobile no. In either case, you will receive an OTP, and upon entering it, you can proceed.
5. Please note that you have to enter all subjects and the corresponding marks in the online application form. The best of 4 or 5 subjects will not be accepted.

St. Xavier's Entrance exam admit card details are as follows - 

• Candidates will be able to download the admit card from the application portal after logging into their account. The same will be available from April onwards or after the applications close.
• For Students who have appeared in 2026, you will need to log in, enter the marks obtained in the qualifying exam and upload the mark sheet upon the declaration of your result. Failure to do so will result in the XET 2026 admit card being unavailable.
