SSC CPO Salary Structure: Perks & Allowances

Apart from the SSC CPO SI Salary, Sub Inspectors(SI) are entitled to get the number of perks and allowances and those are as follows:

House Rent Allowance (HRA)

HRA is a reimbursement that is provided to the employee as stay ease. House rent allowance varies for each individual depending on the place of posting.

Dearness Allowance (DA)

The cost of living allowance is paid as DA and it will be 12% of the basic pay. The DA will be added to the in-hand salary of CPO employees every month.

Transport Allowance (TA)

The transport allowance is provided to look after the daily travelling needs of CPO employees. As per the SSC CPO Salary, employees posted in the metro cities will get Rs.3600 as TA whereas the employees posted other cities will get Rs.1800 as TA.

Diet Allowance/Ration Money

The CPO employees will be given diet allowance in order to fulfill their diet needs. As per the salary of SSC CPO SI, Rs. 101.5 is provided as diet allowance to the employees and ration money of Rs. 97. 85 per head per day is provided to SI in CISF.

Children Education Allowance

A total of Rs. 27,000 per annum is provided for children studying from nursery to 12th class as a children education allowance for all the posts under CPO. Also, hostel subsidy of Rs. 81,000 per annum is provided for children studying in the hostel.

Dress Allowance

Employees are provided a dress allowance of Rs. 10,000 from constable to Inspector in the month of July every year.

Risk/Hardship Allowance

The risk or hardship allowance is provided to all the employees as per the post and the region they are working.

NPS

NPS means the national pension scheme. It helps to improvise the person’s saving habits. A small amount of a person’s monthly income is prevented from him and that same amount is given to the person in his old age on a monthly basis.

CGEGIS

CGEGIS stands for Central Government Employees Group Insurance Scheme. It was activated on 1st January 1982. The scheme offers the person a kind of a two-way benefit process. The first one is an insurance cover in order to help the employee’s family. Second is a lump sum amount to augment their resources on retirement.

CGHS

CGHS stands for Central Government Health Scheme. This scheme provides medical facilities to the employees.

SSC CPO Salary Structure: Perks & Allowances
