Overview: You will not be allowed into the exam centre without your Punjab ADA admit card. Make sure you download yours in time.
Here we give you all the details about the admit card and how to download it.
The Punjab ADA admit card 2026 will be released by the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board before the written exam.
PSSSB does not a fixed, pre-announced admit card date for individual advertisements. What it does instead is activate a download link on the homepage: sssb.punjab.gov.in

If you are one of the advocates who applied for the 170 Assistant District Attorney posts in Punjab, this is the week that decides your cycle. The written examination is on 2nd August 2026, and the only document that gets you through the gate is your admit card.
Downloading the Punjab ADA admit card is not difficult process. Simply follow the given steps:
Step 1: Open the official PSSSB website: sssb.punjab.gov.in
Step 2: On the homepage, look under "Latest Announcements" or the admit card / downloads section for the link referring to the written test dated 02.08.2026 for the post of Assistant District Attorney, Advt. No. 09 of 2026.
Step 3: Click that link. A candidate login window will open.
Step 4: Enter your Application / Registration Number and Date of Birth exactly as submitted in your online application. (Some PSSSB modules ask for a password instead of date of birth, use whichever the login screen requests.)
Step 5: Submit. Your Punjab ADA Hall ticket 2026 will display on screen as a PDF.
Step 6: Check every field before you do anything else (see the verification section below).
Step 7: Download the PDF and save it in at least two places; your laptop and your email or cloud drive. Servers go down; your inbox does not.
Step 8: Print two or three copies on plain A4 paper, in colour if the Board asks for a colour photograph. Confirm that your photograph, signature and roll number are sharp and legible.
Step 9: If a photograph or thumb impression box is left blank on the printout, affix a recent passport photograph and complete it only as the printed instructions on your admit card direct.
Your admit card is a single document doing three jobs at once: it identifies you; it tells you where to be, and it sets out the rules you have agreed to follow. Expect it to carry the following information:
Most candidates glance at the centre address and stop. Check these four details first, in the given order. These are the ones that cause problems at the gate or later during document verification.
Not "does it look right", compare it letter by letter against your Bar Council enrolment certificate and the photo ID you intend to carry.
This is the field where practising advocates get caught more than any other group of candidates: initials that were expanded on one document and abbreviated on another, a surname changed after marriage, an extra middle name on the enrolment roll that never made it into the online form.
A one-letter divergence is usually waved through by a sensible invigilator. A visibly different name is not something you want to be arguing about at 8:40 a.m.
Age eligibility for this post is calculated as on 1st January 2026. An incorrect DOB on your admit card is not merely editable. It touches eligibility, and eligibility gets scrutinised at document verification, after you have already invested the whole cycle.
If you claimed reservation as a bona-fide resident of Punjab, your category must appear correctly. Punjab reservation benefits require a domicile / residence certificate, and the Board's conditions on the age of that certificate are strict. A category printed as "General" when you applied under SC/BC is a discrepancy to raise immediately, not on exam day.
A dark, blurred or over-compressed photograph is a real refusal risk. If your photo has printed as an unrecognisable grey block, re-download, try a different browser, and print again. If it is still unusable, contact the Board and carry additional photo ID plus spare passport photographs.
Act the same day you notice it. With the exam days away, delay is the only thing that turns a fixable error into a lost cycle.
| Type of error | Examples | Urgency |
|---|---|---|
| Minor | Minor spelling variant, abbreviated initial, small formatting issue | Carry supporting original ID; raise with the invigilator at the centre |
| Substantive | Wrong date of birth, wrong category, wrong post or advertisement number, wrong photograph | Contact PSSSB immediately — do not wait for exam day |
| Technical | Admit card not generating, login rejected, blank PDF, unreadable photo | Try another browser and device first, then contact the Board |
Use the helpdesk contact details published on sssb.punjab.gov.in and on your admit card itself. Send a clear, short email: your name, application number, advertisement number (09/2026), the exact field that is wrong, the correct value, and scanned proof (matriculation certificate for DOB, enrolment certificate for name, caste and domicile certificates for category). Attach a screenshot of the admit card. Keep the sent copy.
This is the mistake that ends candidatures. Unless the Board expressly tells you not to appear, go to the centre with your admit card, your originals, and your written correspondence. A candidate who sat the exam and has a documented paper trail has options. A candidate who stayed home has none.
Print your email to the Board and any reply. If the invigilator has a question, you want to answer it with a document, not an explanation.
Pack this the night before, not the morning of. Build the pile once and photograph it, so you can verify briefly before you leave.
Mobile phones, smart watches, fitness bands, Bluetooth devices, calculators, electronic gadgets of any kind, books, notes, loose paper, bags, and your own Bare Acts. This is a closed-book paper.
