Overview: AIMA conducts the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) multiple times a year in Paper-Based Test (PBT) and Computer-Based Test (CBT) modes. For the MAT December 2025 session, candidates can access their score on the official MAT website by the 1st week of January 2026. The MAT scorecard has to be downloaded online via the Applicant Dashboard on the official portal.  

Latest Update: As per AIMA’s official schedule, the MAT December’25 score will be available on the MAT website by the 1st week of January 2026. Candidates have to download the score from mat.aima.in (Applicant Dashboard).

What is the MAT exam 2025?

  • The MAT exam is a national-level entrance exam for MBA and PGDM programs
  • Conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA)
  • Held four times a year in February, May, September, and December
  • The MAT results is usually declared two weeks after the exam.
  • Three modes of examination: Paper-Based Test (PBT), Computer-Based Test (CBT), and Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (IBT)
  • Exam pattern consists of five sections: Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, and Indian and Global Environment
  • Total of 150 questions, 120 minutes duration, and negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer
  • Accepted by over 600 B-schools in India, including top private and government colleges.

MAT Results 2025 and How To Download?

The flow of events before the release of MAT exam results 2025 and after MAT exam can be described in the sequence below:

  1. 4 weeks before: MAT exam is conducted in various modes (CBT, PBT, IBT)
  2. 3 weeks before: Candidates can download their MAT response sheet from the official website
  3. 2 weeks before: AIMA releases the provisional answer key for MAT exam
  4. 1 week before: Candidates can challenge the provisional answer key if they find any discrepancies
  5. On the day of result release: MAT results are declared in the form of a scorecard on the official website of AIMA
  6. After the MAT results release: Candidates can apply to MAT participating institutes for admission based on their MAT scorecard.

FOR MAT EXAM RESPONSE SHEET

The MAT response sheet can be downloaded using the below steps:

  1. Visit the official MAT website (https://mat.aima.in/)
  2. Click on the "MAT 2025" tab
  3. Click on the "Download Response Sheet" link
  4. Enter your MAT Registration Number and Date of Birth
  5. Click on the "Submit" button
  6. Your MAT Response Sheet will be displayed on the screen
  7. Download and save the Response Sheet for future reference.
  8. The MAT 2025 results will be declared two weeks after the exam, so keep the response sheet handy for comparison once the MAT results are out.

The downloaded response sheet will have the following details:

  • Registration ID & name of the candidate
  • Section-wise questions and candidate's response to those questions
  • The correct answer to all questions

How to address discrepancies in the MAT Provisional Answer Key

They need to follow the steps given below:

  1. Visit the official MAT website (https://mat.aima.in/)
  2. Click on the "MAT 2025" tab
  3. Click on the "Objection Form for Provisional Answer Key" link
  4. Enter your MAT Registration Number and Date of Birth
  5. Select the question number and enter the correct answer with justification
  6. Pay the objection fee (if applicable)
  7. Submit the objection form

Candidates should remember that they can raise objections only until the predefined time given by the exam conducting authorities and such requests won't be entertained after the release of the final answer sheet and MAT 2025 results.

How to Download MAT 2025 Scorecard (Official)

As per the official MAT schedule, candidates have to download the MAT score from mat.aima.in (Applicant Dashboard)No separate scorecard is sent by post or email.

  1. Visit the official MAT portal: https://mat.aima.in/
  2. Login to your Applicant Dashboard using your registered credentials (email/password or OTP-based login).
  3. Open the Score/Result section and click on Download Scorecard.
  4. Save the PDF and take a printout for admission/shortlisting use.

What is the MAT 2025 selection process?

The MAT Selection Process based on the MAT results starts as soon as the results are announced. The selection process is almost similar to that with CAT.

  • Applying for Admission Based on the MAT scores, candidates can apply to MAT participating institutes for admission.
  • The admission process usually includes Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), and Written Ability Test (WAT).
  • Those who clear the cut-off for their respective institute get forward to other rounds of GD-PI.
  • For some institutes, the final merit list is prepared by adding the scores from the GK sections; while some colleges don’t consider it.
