NCHMCT JEE Eligibility

  • You should have passed Intermediate(10+2) from CBSE or any other recognized board with English as one of the core subjects. 
  • Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examinations can also appear in JEE provisionally. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counselling
  • You should be below 25 years of age.
  • The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates/documents at the time of admission. If any candidate is found ineligible later, even after admission to an Institute, his/her admission will stand cancelled.
  • Those who successfully qualify for the NCHMCT JEE exam must provide a physical fitness certificate at the time of the admission process. The certificate will have to be provided by a registered medical practitioner.

The All India Management Association (AIMA) holds the Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) every year for admission of eligible candidates to the BHM (Bachelor of Hotel Management) course. The exam serves as a gateway to the BHM Course of the participating Universities. Applicants eager to enter the hospitality sector are advised to practice for the AIMA UGAT mock test to score well in the exam.

AIMA UGAT Selection Process

The selection process for the BHM program will depend on the participating institutions. You must register directly on participating institutes' websites to enrol in their programs.

Admission will be based on the merit of the AIMA UGAT score.

AIMA UGAT Exam Pattern

IIHM eCHAT

The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) conducts the Electronic Common Hotel Admission Test (eCHAT) to offer admission to hotel management programs on offer by the institute. 

IIHM eCHAT Selection Process

A cumulative score based on an aptitude test, group discussion, and personal interview round will be used to prepare the merit list. Admissions are based on merit in the list.

  • You will be required to take an Aptitude Test, eCHAT, administered by IIHM as a part of the selection process, assessing aptitude, logical reasoning skills, and English language proficiency.
  • To advance to the next round, you must acquire a minimum qualifying score determined by the IIHM cut-off.
  • Those who pass this exam can take the Group Discussion and the Personal Interview (PI) round.
  • Those who pass the Aptitude Test will be invited to the Personal Interview phase. The interview assesses the students' personality, communication skills, general awareness, and persuasion abilities.
  • You are required to appear for the IIHM counselling. College allocation and seat allotment will be done based on the merit list of IIHM eCHAT.
  • You must then complete the admission formalities of the respective IIHM allocated.

IIHM eCHAT Exam Pattern 2024

The IIHM eCHAT exam pattern was created to evaluate your personality and analytical and logical abilities.

  • There are 50 multiple-choice questions to be solved in a duration of 60 minutes.

IPU CET BHMCT

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) conducts the IP University Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to the Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology program of IP University affiliated colleges. 

  • The four-year program Bachelor degree in Hotel Management and catering technology (BHMCT) is offered by two institutes, namely Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute Of Hotel Management & Catering Technology and Delhi Technical Campus.
  • The IPU BHM program is four years long. It provides the industrial and operational skill sets required in the hospitality field so that you can acclimate to the market environment.
  • The institute offers campus recruitment regularly to its students. Some hotels that recruit for the hotel management courses from IPU are Taj hotels, resorts and palaces, IHG (InterContinental Hotel Group) etc. 

IPU CET BHMCT Selection Process

The IPU CET BHMCT selection will be based solely on the performance in the Common Entrance Test. An All-India Rank will be assigned based on your performance in the IPU CET BHMCT.

  • There are 60 seats for the four-year Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management and catering technology (BHMCT) offered by Punjab University.
  • The BHMCT and BTTM program is structured to provide the industrial and operational skill sets required in the hospitality field.

PUTHAT Selection Process

The selection process for the BHMCT and BTTM programs offered by Punjab University will be based solely on the performance in the Common Entrance Test.

Oberoi STEP Eligibility Criteria 

Before filling out the Oberoi STEP application form, you should ensure to meet the qualifying requirements. The Oberoi STEP eligibility conditions are listed below.

  • You must have completed the 12th grade from an Indian board accredited by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
  • For applying to the Oberoi STEP must be between 18 and 20.
  • You must have received at least 71% in their 10th grade. Those who passed the CBSE board's 10th grade must have received a B1 or 8-grade point.

Oberoi STEP Selection Process 

Once the application process ends, you must appear for the interview round. There will not be any entrance exams for Oberoi STEP.

  • Phase 1: You are placed into groups of 15-20 people for this round. All of the groups will be required to complete some activities and tasks that have been assigned to them. This phase will test your communication and presenting skills.

  • After filling out the application form, you must appear for an electronic profiling online test. You will receive the link to EPT on their registered email ID, and the assessment result will be provided to the aspirants after the successful completion of the exam.
  • After EPT, you must write a Statement of Purpose of 1500 words. The topic of the statement of purpose is “perspective on the role education at IHM-A would play in shaping future by creating a vibrant personality to succeed in the hospitality world”.
  • In the next step of admission, you need to appear for a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview (PI) round.
  • The main aim of these rounds is to evaluate General Awareness, Communication Skills, Service Orientation, Analytical Skills and fit for the curriculum. 
  • You are advised to follow the dress code below while appearing for the GD/ PI rounds. 
  • Ladies – (formal attire) Sarees or business suits, full-sleeved shirts, formal ensembles, scarves and formal shoes.
  • Gentlemen – (formal attire) Suit, jacket or blazer, full-sleeved shirt, trousers, necktie and shoes.

  • You will be required to take an Aptitude Test, eCHAT, administered by IIHM as a part of the selection process, assessing aptitude, logical reasoning skills, and English language proficiency.

Oberoi STEP Eligibility Criteria

IHM AEE is a university-level entrance exam administered by IHM Aurangabad. The exam is held for admission to undergraduate courses offered by the college.

A cumulative score based on the statement of purpose, profile exam, group discussion and personal interview round will be used to prepare the merit list. You will be granted admissions based on merit in the list.

  • After filling out the application form, you must appear for an electronic profiling online test. You will receive the link to EPT on their registered email ID, and the assessment result will be provided to the aspirants after the successful completion of the exam.
  • After EPT, you must write a Statement of Purpose of 1500 words. The topic of the statement of purpose is “perspective on the role education at IHM-A would play in shaping future by creating a vibrant personality to succeed in the hospitality world”.
  • In the next step of admission, you need to appear for a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview (PI) round.
  • The main aim of these rounds is to evaluate General Awareness, Communication Skills, Service Orientation, Analytical Skills and fit for the curriculum. 
  • You are advised to follow the dress code below while appearing for the GD/ PI rounds. 
  • Ladies – (formal attire) Sarees or business suits, full-sleeved shirts, formal ensembles, scarves and formal shoes.
  • Gentlemen – (formal attire) Suit, jacket or blazer, full-sleeved shirt, trousers, necktie and shoes.
