डेब्ट निवेश को इक्विटी में बदलने के लिए स्टार्टअप को 10 वर्ष तक का समय

• DPIIT की एक समाचार विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, सरकार ने कंपनियों के लिए डेब्ट फाइनेंसिंग को इक्विटी शेयरों में बदलने की समय सीमा 10 वर्ष तक बढ़ा दी है, एक ऐसा उपाय जो कोविड -19 महामारी के प्रभाव से निपटने वाले उभरते उद्यमों को आराम प्रदान करने की संभावना है। पहले, परिवर्तनीय नोटों को प्रारंभिक परिवर्तनीय नोट जारी होने के बाद पांच वर्ष तक इक्विटी शेयरों में परिवर्तित किया जा सकता था। उस समय सीमा को अब बढ़ाकर दस वर्ष कर दिया गया है।
• निवेश के दौरान, निवेशक को यह विकल्प दिया जाता है कि अगर स्टार्टअप अच्छा प्रदर्शन करता है या भविष्य में कुछ निश्चित प्रदर्शन बेंचमार्क को पूरा करता है तो स्टार्टअप को उस पैसे के बदले में फर्म में इक्विटी शेयर जारी करने के लिए कहने का विकल्प दिया जाता है, जिसे उन्होंने पहले ऋण/डेब्ट के रूप में निवेश किया था।
• विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार, 2017 में इसके निर्माण के बाद से, परिवर्तनीय नोट व्यवसायों के शुरुआती चरण के वित्तपोषण के लिए अधिक व्यवहार्य वित्तपोषण वाहन बन गए हैं।

 हरियाणा में शुरू हुआ 35वां सूरजकुंड अंतरराष्ट्रीय शिल्प मेला

• हरियाणा के राज्यपाल बंडारू दत्तात्रेय और हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल खट्टर ने हरियाणा के फरीदाबाद जिले के सूरजकुंड में विश्व प्रसिद्ध सूरजकुंड अंतर्राष्ट्रीय शिल्प मेले के 35 वें संस्करण का औपचारिक उद्घाटन किया। यह कार्यक्रम सूरजकुंड मेला प्राधिकरण और हरियाणा पर्यटन द्वारा केंद्रीय पर्यटन, कपड़ा, संस्कृति और विदेश मंत्रालयों के सहयोग से संयुक्त रूप से आयोजित किया जाता है।
• 2022 में, जम्मू और कश्मीर और उज्बेकिस्तान में 'थीम स्टेट' भागीदार राष्ट्र है।
• मेला 19 मार्च से 04 अप्रैल, 2022 तक खुला है। यह पूरे भारत के कारीगरों को अपनी प्रतिभा और भारत के हस्तशिल्प, हथकरघा और सांस्कृतिक विरासत की समृद्धि और विविधता का प्रदर्शन करने का अवसर प्रदान करता है। मेले का आयोजन पहली बार 1987 में किया गया था। कोविड 19 महामारी के कारण वर्ष 2021 में इसका आयोजन नहीं किया जा सका।

• चार्ल्स लेक्लर (फेरारी- मोनाको) ने बहरीन के पश्चिम में एक मोटर रेसिंग सर्किट, बहरीन इंटरनेशनल सर्किट में फॉर्मूला वन बहरीन ग्रांड प्रिक्स 2022 जीता है। कार्लोस सैंज जूनियर (फेरारी - स्पेन) दूसरे स्थान पर रहे जबकि लुईस हैमिल्टन (मर्सिडीज-ग्रेट ब्रिटेन) तीसरे स्थान पर रहे। यह 2022 की पहली फॉर्मूला वन रेस थी।

 पंकज आडवाणी ने आठवीं बार एशियाई बिलियर्ड्स का खिताब जीता

• भारतीय क्यूइस्ट पंकज आडवाणी ने 19वीं एशियाई 100 यूपी बिलियर्ड्स चैंपियनशिप 2022 में ध्रुव सीतवाला को हराकर अपना आठवां खिताब जीता। यह दोहा, कतर में आयोजित किया गया था। कुल मिलाकर यह आडवाणी का 24वां अंतर्राष्ट्रीय खिताब और 8वां एशियाई ताज है। इससे पहले, आडवाणी ने फाइनल में जगह पक्की करने के लिए म्यांमार के पॉक सा की कड़ी चुनौती का सामना किया था। अपने प्रतिद्वंद्वी के जोरदार पलटवार के बाद मैच को चार-चार फ्रेम में बराबर करने के बाद उन्होंने 5-4 से जीत हासिल की।

सीआरपीएफ ने 19 मार्च 2022 को 83वां स्थापना दिवस मनाया

• केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल (CRPF) ने 19 मार्च 2022 को जोश और औपचारिक उत्साह के साथ अपना 83वां स्थापना दिवस मनाया है। जम्मू के मौलाना आजाद स्टेडियम में 83वें स्थापना दिवस परेड का आयोजन किया गया. यह पहली बार था जब सीआरपीएफ ने राष्ट्रीय राजधानी के बाहर अपना स्थापना दिवस मनाया। केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने परेड की सलामी ली और सीआरपीएफ कर्मियों को विभिन्न श्रेणियों में असाधारण उपलब्धियों के लिए वीरता पदक और ट्राफियां भी प्रदान कीं।
• सीआरपीएफ 27 जुलाई 1939 को क्राउन रिप्रेजेंटेटिव्स पुलिस के रूप में अस्तित्व में आया। सीआरपीएफ अधिनियम के अधिनियमित होने पर 28 दिसंबर, 1949 को इसका नाम बदलकर केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल (सीआरपीएफ) कर दिया गया।
• 19 मार्च, 1950 को तत्कालीन गृह मंत्री, सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल ने सीआरपीएफ को उसकी सराहनीय सेवाओं के लिए राष्ट्रपति का रंग भेंट किया, जिसके बाद सीआरपीएफ ने इस दिन को अपने स्थापना दिवस के रूप में मनाना शुरू कर दिया।

NMDC ने ड्रोन आधारित खनिज अन्वेषण के लिए IIT खड़गपुर के साथ समझौता किया

• देश के सबसे बड़े लौह अयस्क उत्पादक एनएमडीसी लिमिटेड ने आईआईटी खड़गपुर के साथ ड्रोन आधारित खनिज अनुसंधान के लिए एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। राष्ट्रीय खनन और विकास निगम (NMDC) तकनीकी नवाचार और इसके अन्वेषण और खनन डेटाबेस के डिजिटलीकरण पर तेजी से निर्भर है। सरकार ने भारत में ड्रोन के उपयोग और संचालन को विनियमित करने और निगरानी करने के लिए पहला कदम उठाया है, जो अब कृषि, शहरी नियोजन, वानिकी, खनन, आपदा प्रबंधन, निगरानी और परिवहन, अन्य उद्योगों में कार्यरत हैं।
• NMDC और IIT खड़गपुर ड्रोन खनन अन्वेषण के लिए स्पेक्ट्रम उत्पाद, कार्यप्रणाली और एल्गोरिदम बनाने के लिए सहयोग करेंगे।
• सहयोग से खनिज उत्खनन और खनन प्रौद्योगिकी क्षमता-निर्माण कार्यक्रमों के लिए सॉफ्टवेयर स्पेक्ट्रल टूल का विकास भी होगा।

भारत के सुरेश रैना को मालदीव सरकार से मिला 'स्पोर्ट्स आइकॉन' पुरस्कार

• भारत के पूर्व क्रिकेटर सुरेश रैना को मालदीव स्पोर्ट्स अवार्ड्स 2022 में प्रतिष्ठित 'स्पोर्ट्स आइकन' पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया है। मालदीव सरकार ने रैना को उनके पूरे करियर में विभिन्न उपलब्धियों के लिए सम्मानित किया। रैना को 16 अंतरराष्ट्रीय खिलाड़ियों के साथ नामांकित किया गया था, जिनमें रियल मैड्रिड के पूर्व खिलाड़ी रॉबर्टो कार्लोस, जमैका के धावक असफा पॉवेल, श्रीलंका के पूर्व कप्तान और क्रिकेटर सनथ जयसूर्या और डच फुटबॉल के दिग्गज एडगर डेविड्स शामिल हैं।

वर्ल्ड हैप्पीनेस रिपोर्ट: सबसे दुखी देशों में भारत 136वें स्थान पर

• भारत ने वर्ष 2022 के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र की वर्ल्ड हैप्पीनेस रिपोर्ट में 136 वां स्थान हासिल करने के लिए अपनी रैंक में तीन स्थानों का सुधार किया है, जिसमें 146 देशों का स्थान है। 2021 में, भारत की रैंक 139 थी। फिनलैंड ने लगातार पांचवें वर्ष 2022 वर्ल्ड हैप्पीनेस रिपोर्ट में शीर्ष स्थान हासिल किया है। 146वें स्थान पर अफगानिस्तान को विश्‍व के सबसे दुखी देश के रूप में स्थान दिया गया है।

ऑफलाइन लेनदेन के लिए UPI लाइट की घोषणा

• नेशनल पेमेंट्स कॉरपोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (एनपीसीआई) ने छोटे मूल्य के लेनदेन के लिए यूपीआई उपयोगकर्ताओं के लिए "यूपीआई लाइट - ऑन-डिवाइस वॉलेट" ("यूपीआई लाइट") कार्यक्षमता तैयार की है। भारत में खुदरा लेनदेन (नकदी सहित) की कुल मात्रा का लगभग 75% लेनदेन मूल्य 100 रुपये से कम है। इसके अलावा, कुल यूपीआई लेनदेन में से 50% का लेनदेन मूल्य 200/- रुपये तक है। ऐसे छोटे मूल्य के लेनदेन को आसानी से संसाधित करने के लिए, एनपीसीआई ने "यूपीआई लाइट" की यह सुविधा शुरू की है।
• UPI लाइट लेन-देन को नियर ऑफलाइन मोड में प्रोसेस करेगा यानी डेबिट ऑफलाइन और क्रेडिट ऑनलाइन, और बाद में, UPI लाइट ट्रांजेक्शन को पूरी तरह से ऑफलाइन मोड यानी डेबिट और क्रेडिट दोनों ऑफलाइन में प्रोसेस करेगा।
• UPI लाइट भुगतान लेनदेन की ऊपरी सीमा 200 रुपये होगी। "ऑन-डिवाइस वॉलेट" के लिए UPI लाइट बैलेंस की कुल सीमा किसी भी समय 2,000 रुपये होगी।
• UPI लाइट में धन की पुनःपूर्ति की अनुमति केवल अतिरिक्त कारक प्रमाणीकरण (AFA) के साथ ऑनलाइन मोड में या UPI ऑटोपे का उपयोग करके दी जाएगी जिसे उपयोगकर्ता द्वारा AFA के साथ ऑनलाइन मोड में पंजीकृत किया गया है।

बीपीसीएल गैर-इंटरनेट उपयोगकर्ताओं को डिजिटल भुगतान की पेशकश करने वाली पहली कंपनी बनी

Startups get up to 10 yrs for converting debt investment into equity

• According to a news release from the DPIIT, the government has extended the deadline for companies to convert debt financing into equity shares by up to 10 years, a measure that is likely to provide comfort to emerging enterprises dealing with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Previously, convertible notes may be converted into equity shares for up to five years after the initial convertible note was issued. That time frame has now been increased to ten years.
• During the investment, the investor is given the option of asking the startup to issue equity shares in the firm in exchange for the money they had previously invested as a loan/debt if the startup does well or meets certain performance benchmarks in the future.
• Since its creation in 2017, convertible notes have become more viable financing vehicles for early-stage funding of businesses, according to experts.

35th Surajkund International Crafts Mela commences in Haryana

• The Governor of Haryana, Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar formally inaugurated the 35th edition of the world-famous Surajkund International Crafts Mela at Surajkund in Faridabad district of Haryana. The event is organized jointly by the Surajkund Mela Authority & Haryana Tourism in collaboration with Union Ministries of Tourism, Textiles, Culture and External Affairs.
• In 2022, the ‘Theme State’ in Jammu & Kashmir and Uzbekistan is the partner nation.
• The Mela is open from March 19 to April 04, 2022. It provides an opportunity for artisans from all over India to showcase their talent and the richness and diversity of the handicrafts, handlooms, and cultural heritage of India. The Fair was first organized in 1987. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the event could not be organised in the year 2021.

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc wins F1 season-opening Bahrain GP

• Charles Leclerc (Ferrari- Monaco) has won the Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix 2022 at the Bahrain International Circuit, a motor racing circuit in the west of Bahrain. Carlos Sainz Jr. (Ferrari – Spain) came second while Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes-Great Britain) came third. This was the first Formula One race of 2022.

 Pankaj Advani wins Asian Billiards title for eighth time

• Indian cueist Pankaj Advani has defeated Dhruv Sitwala to win his eighth title at the 19th Asian 100 UP Billiards Championship 2022. It was held in Doha, Qatar. Overall this is Advani’s 24th international title and 8th Asian crown. Earlier, Advani had held off the stiff challenge of Pauk Sa of Myanmar to secure a spot in the final. He managed a 5-4 win after his opponent fought back strongly to level the match at four frames each.

CRPF celebrates 83rd Raising Day on 19th March 2022

• Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has celebrated its 83rd Raising Day with zeal and ceremonial fervour on 19 March 2022. The 83rd Raising Day parade was organised at the Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu. This was for the first time that the CRPF celebrated its Raising Day outside the national capital. Union Home Minister Amit Shah took the salute at the parade and also presented the Gallantry medals and trophies for exceptional achievements in different categories to CRPF personnel.
• The CRPF came into existence on July 27, 1939, as Crown Representative’s Police. It was renamed the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on December 28, 1949, upon the enactment of the CRPF Act.
• On March 19, 1950, the then Home Minister, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel presented Presidential colours to the CRPF for its commendable services, following which CRPF started celebrating the day as their Raising Day.

NMDC signs pact with IIT Kharagpur for drone-based mineral exploration

• The country’s largest iron ore producer, NMDC Ltd, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for drone-based mineral research with IIT Kharagpur. The National Mining and Development Corporation (NMDC)is increasingly dependent on technical innovation and the digitisation of its exploration and mining database. The government has taken the first step in regulating and monitoring drone usage and operations in India, which are now employed in agriculture, urban planning, forestry, mining, disaster management, surveillance, and transportation, among other industries.
• NMDC and IIT Kharagpur will collaborate to create spectrum products, methodologies, and algorithms for drone (UAV) mining exploration.
• The collaboration will also lead to the development of software spectral tools for mineral excavation and mining technology capacity-building programmes.

India's Suresh Raina gets 'Sports Icon' award from Maldives govt

• Former India cricketer Suresh Raina has been awarded the prestigious ‘Sports Icon’ award at the Maldives Sports Awards 2022. The Maldives government felicitated Raina for his various achievements throughout his career. Raina was nominated alongside 16 international sportspersons, including former Real Madrid player Roberto Carlos, Jamaican Sprinter Asafa Powell, former Sri Lankan captain and cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya and Dutch football legend Edgar Davids among others.
• Raina is known for aiding the Indian cricket team to its World Cup glory back in 2011 and has also won the Indian Premier League(IPL) trophy four times with the Chennai Super Kings(CSK) franchise. He is the first Indian player to score 6000 as well as 8000 runs in a Twenty20 career and the first-ever cricketer to reach 5,000 runs in IPL. He also holds the record for scoring the most fifties in Champions League T20 history.

World Happiness Report: India among ‘unhappiest’ nations, languishes at 136th spot

• India has improved its rank by three spots to acquire 136th position in the United Nations’ World Happiness Report for the year 2022, which ranked 146 countries. In 2021, India’s rank was 139. Finland has topped the 2022 World Happiness Report, for the fifth continuous year. Afghanistan has been ranked as the unhappiest country in the world, at 146th position.

UPI lite announced for offline transactions

• National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) designed the “UPI Lite – On-Device wallet” (“UPI Lite”) functionality for UPI users for small value transactions. About 75% of the total volume of retail transactions (including cash) in India are below Rs 100 transaction value. Further, 50% of the total UPI transactions are having a transaction value of up to Rs 200/-. To easily process such small value transactions, NPCI has launched this facility of “UPI Lite”.
• UPI Lite will process transactions in near offline mode i.e. debit offline and credit online, and at a later point, UPI Lite will process transactions in complete offline mode i.e. debit and credit both offline.
• The upper limit of a UPI Lite payment transaction shall be Rs. 200. The total limit of UPI Lite balance for an “On-device wallet” shall be Rs. 2,000 at any point of time.
• Replenishment of funds in UPI Lite shall only be allowed in online mode with additional factor authentication (AFA) or using UPI AutoPay which has been registered by the User in online mode with AFA.

BPCL becomes the first company to offer digital payment to non-internet users

• Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a ‘Maharatna’ and Fortune Global 500 company, has teamed up with UltraCash Technologies Pvt. Ltd. to provide BharatGas customers with a voice-based digital payment option for booking LPG cylinders. Customers who do not have access to a smartphone or the internet can use this feature to book cylinders and pay via the ‘UPI 123PAY’ system. Customers can call the common number 080 4516 3554 from a non-internet phone to reserve a BharatGas cylinder for themselves or for friends in simple steps and in a secure manner thanks to the collaboration with Ultra Cash.
• Around 4 crore BharatGas customers in rural India will benefit from the implementation of this option.
• After the RBI Governor announced the launch of UPI 123PAY last week, BPCL is the first company in India to offer their service to consumers. UltraCash is a mobile payment app created by UltraCash Technologies Pvt Ltd and approved by India’s National Payment Corporation (NPCI).
