The Bar Council of India (BCI) recently announced a rescheduled date for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE-XIX), moving it from November 24 to December 22, 2024. This shift aims to provide candidates with extra preparation time and facilitate a smoother registration process.
Key dates now include a registration deadline of November 15, the last payment date on November 18, and a correction window closing on November 22. Admit cards will be released on December 15, allowing ample time for verification.
The additional month for preparation is significant, as the AIBE is a mandatory certification for law graduates aiming to practice in India.
Passing scores remain at 45% for General and OBC candidates and 40% for SC/ST and Disabled candidates.
This extension offers candidates the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of legal principles, critical case laws, and essential regulatory content.
The rescheduled date also allows the BCI to streamline its online registration and payment systems, potentially addressing logistical challenges that could impact the exam process. Candidates should use this time to thoroughly prepare and ensure all registration steps are completed on time to avoid delays.
The BCI encourages applicants to verify their admit cards as soon as they become available, ensuring a smooth entry on exam day.
This rescheduling of AIBE-XIX is a strategic move, providing candidates with a structured timeline to meet the certification requirements for beginning a legal career in India.
