MPCJ Prelims 2023 was scheduled today on 14th January 2024. Here are the important details about the exam.

  • Approximately 35,000 students appeared for MPCJ Prelims 2023.
  • Following were the centres in Madhya Pradesh: Jabalpur, Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Sagar, Satna, and Ujjain.

Analysis of MPCJ Prelims 2023 examination:

The MP Civil judge exam conducted on 14 January 2023 was moderate. Overall the law section was tricky and had a lot of conceptual questions. The law section demanded thorough reading of bare acts. Any aspirant not versed with bare provisions would have found the questions very difficult. The questions from minor acts were direct. The General Knowledge and Current Legal Knowledge section was tough and trick with questions mostly focusing on national level news.

Overall difficulty level: moderate (Not too easy, not too difficult)

Case Laws: Too many case laws 16-17case laws based questions (recent and landmark both)

Type of Questions: conceptual questions

G.K. Question: G.K. questions were tough (satic  GK had so many geography based questions

New Laws: POCSO, JJ and IT act, easy questions

Criminal Laws: No questions from new criminal laws

Previous Year Papers: Questions from PYPs were decent in numbers (30-40% PYQ topics)

Type of Topics: known topics/trendy topics

Language section: English was moderate, but overall tricky

CrPC: on the Difficult high level (application based questions)

Evidence: Conceptual questions

Computer: Easy with repeated questions from previous years

CPC: Easy, bare act based

Constitution: easy (PYQ centric)

Minor Laws: Simple questions PYQ centric, direct questions

State Specific: Direct index based questions

IPC: Illustration based questions, hypothetical questions ( Mains centric questions with conceptual knowledge)

Other: Overall moderate paper with case laws based questions and bare act based questions

Safe Score: We cannot predict any assured safe score, but as per the analysis done by us here is the expected cut-off score:

Considering the less number of vacancies the cut-off must be something around:

  • General catagory: 124 -125 marks
  • OBC: 116 -118 marks
  • ST: 82 - 85 marks
  • SC: 96 - 100 marks
