The sudden cancellation has left many students who took the exam deeply disappointed.

This decision comes in the backdrop of recent controversies surrounding the NEET 2024 examination, where allegations of a paper leak due to NTA's mismanagement surfaced. The Ministry of Education emphasizes its commitment to ensuring transparency and fairness in exams. A new examination is likely to be conducted, with details to be shared soon.

The Ministry has also handed over the investigation of the UGC NET exam integrity concerns to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for thorough scrutiny.

In related developments, the issue of grace marks in the NEET (UG) 2024 examination has been fully addressed, and a detailed report regarding irregularities alleged in Patna has been sought from the Economic Offences Unit, Bihar Police. The government has stated that its top priority is protecting students' interests and ensuring fair exams, promising strict action against anyone compromising the process.
