पोशन अभियान की दूसरी वर्षगांठ 'पोशन पखवाड़ा' मनाई जा रही है:

• पोषन अभियान की दूसरी वर्षगांठ पोकरण पखवाड़ा 8 तारीख को मनाया जा रहा है
• दो सप्ताह चलने वाले पोशन पखवाड़ा 2020 का फोकस क्षेत्र होगा - पुरुषों के लिए पोषण - पोशन अभियान में पुरुष सगाई बढ़ाना - पोषण संबंधी संकेतक में सुधार करना।

Paytm और हैदराबाद मेट्रो QR आधारित टिकट के लिए गठबंधन:

• पेटीएम के साथ साझेदारी में हैदराबाद मेट्रो रेल लिमिटेड ने तेलंगाना के रसूलपुरा मेट्रो स्टेशन पर एक क्यूआर-कोड-आधारित मेट्रो टिकटिंग प्रणाली शुरू की है।
• नई सेवा यात्रियों को मेट्रो स्टेशनों पर टोकन खरीदने के लिए निर्बाध रूप से यात्रा करने और कतारों से बचने में सक्षम करेगी। वे अब अपने पेटीएम ऐप पर केवल एक क्यूआर टिकट खरीद सकते हैं, जिसे यात्रा के लिए आगे बढ़ने के लिए स्वचालित किराया संग्रह (एएफसी) द्वार पर प्रदर्शित किया जा सकता है।

तीसरा सभी-महिला डाकघर नई दिल्ली में खुला:

• डाक विभाग, दिल्ली सर्किल ने राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में तीसरा अखिल महिला डाकघर खोला है।
• अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस समारोह मनाने के लिए नई दिल्ली साउथ वेस्ट डिवीजन के तहत पोस्ट ऑफिस का उद्घाटन किया गया था।

पुरस्कार और सम्मान

टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया स्पोर्ट्स अवार्ड्स 2019 की घोषणा:

• TOISA (टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया स्पोर्ट्स अवार्ड्स) पुरस्कारों के चौथे संस्करण ने नई दिल्ली, भारत में 2019 के खेलों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ भारतीय का सम्मान किया। यह कार्यक्रम BHIM-UPI (Bharat Interface for Money- Unified Payments Interface) द्वारा संचालित किया गया था।
• रोहित शर्मा को क्रिकेटर ऑफ द ईयर और पीवी सिंधु को स्पोर्ट्सपर्सन ऑफ द ईयर के रूप में नामित किया गया था क्योंकि उन्होंने स्विट्जरलैंड के बासेल में विश्व चैंपियनशिप में स्वर्ण पदक जीता था।

ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने जीता महिला टी 20 विश्व कप का ख़िताब:

• डिफेंडिंग चैंपियन ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने महिलाओं का टी 20 विश्व कप 2020 जीता। ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने मेलबर्न क्रिकेट ग्राउंड (एमसीजी), ऑस्ट्रेलिया में रिकॉर्ड पांचवें पांचवें महिला टी 20 विश्व कप खिताब के लिए 85 रन से फाइनल में पहुंचने के लिए भारत को 99 रन पर आउट कर दिया।
• बेथ मूनी को प्लेयर ऑफ द टूर्नामेंट और एलिसा हीली को प्लेयर ऑफ द मैच चुना गया है।
• आईसीसी महिला टी 20 विश्व कप 2020 ICC महिला टी 20 विश्व कप टूर्नामेंट का सातवां संस्करण था।

 श्रेणीबद्ध

पोशन अभियान की प्रतिभागियों की सूची में तमिलनाडु सबसे ऊपर है:

• केंद्र सरकार भारतीय नागरिकों की पोषण स्थिति में सुधार के लिए प्रमुख कार्यक्रम पोशन अभियान को लागू कर रही है। यह कार्यक्रम बच्चों, किशोरों, गर्भवती महिलाओं और स्तनपान कराने वाली माताओं को प्रौद्योगिकी का लाभ उठाने में मदद करता है।
• कार्यक्रम को दिए जाने का महत्व इस तथ्य से स्पष्ट है कि 14 केंद्रीय विभाग और सभी राज्य सरकारें कार्यक्रम में शामिल हो रही हैं। कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने वालों की संख्या के मामले में तमिलनाडु राज्यों की सूची में सबसे ऊपर है। एकीकृत बाल विकास योजना दक्षिणी राज्य में लंबे समय से लागू है जिसे केंद्र के पोशन अभियान मिशन के साथ फिर से मिला है।
• यह कार्यक्रम पूरे देश में बच्चों और माताओं तक पहुंचकर भारत को पुनर्जीवित कर रहा है।

महत्वपूर्ण दिन

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस:

• यह दिवस महिलाओं की सामाजिक, आर्थिक, सांस्कृतिक और राजनीतिक उपलब्धियों का जश्न मनाने के लिए हर साल 8 मार्च को विश्व स्तर पर मनाया जाता है।
• यह महिलाओं के अधिकारों के लिए आंदोलन का केंद्र बिंदु है।
• IWD 2020 के लिए थीम समान के लिए प्रत्येक है, हम उन सभी कार्यों को पहचानते हैं जिन्हें हम रूढ़ियों को चुनौती देने के लिए व्यक्तियों के रूप में ले सकते हैं, पूर्वाग्रह से लड़ने और महिलाओं के जश्न मनाने के लिए वर्ष 2020 लैंगिक समानता के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण है।

2nd anniversary of Poshan Abhiyaan ‘Poshan Pakhwada’ being celebrated:

• The second anniversary of the Poshan Abhiyaan  Poshan Pakhwada is being celebrated on 8th
• The focus area of the two-week-long Poshan Pakhwada 2020 will be – Men for Nutrition – increasing male engagement in Poshan Abhiyaan – to improve Nutritional Indicators.

Paytm & Hyderabad Metro tie up for QR-based tickets:

• Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd in partnership with Paytm has launched a QR-code-based metro ticketing system at Rasoolpura metro station Hyderabad, Telangana.
• The new service will enable commuters to travel seamlessly and avoid queues to buy tokens at the metro stations. They can now simply purchase a QR ticket on their Paytm app, which can be displayed at the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates to proceed for the journey.

Third all-Women Post Office opens in New Delhi:

• Department of Posts, Delhi Circle has opened the third all-Women Post Office in the national capital.
• The post office was inaugurated under New Delhi South West Division to commemorate the International Women’s Day celebrations.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

Times of India Sports Awards 2019 announced:

• The 4th edition of TOISA (Times of India Sports Awards) awards honoured the best Indian in 2019 sports in New Delhi, India. The event was powered by BHIM-UPI (Bharat Interface for Money- Unified Payments Interface).
• Rohit Sharma was named as the Cricketer of the year and PV Sindhu was named as the Sportsperson of the year as she won gold at the World Championships in Basel, Switzerland.

Australia wins Women’s T20 World Cup title:

• Defending champions Australia wins Women’s T20 World Cup 2020. Australia bowled India out for 99 runs to clinch the final by 85 runs for a record-extending fifth Women’s T20 World Cup title at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Australia.
• Beth Mooney has been adjudged Player of the Tournament & Alyssa Healy has been adjudged the Player of the Match.
• The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 was the seventh edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup tournament.

RANKING

Tamil Nadu tops in Poshan Abhiyan’s participants list:

• The Central Government is implementing the flagship programme Poshan Abhiyan for improving the nutritional status of Indian citizens. This programme helps children, adolescents, pregnant women, and lactating mothers by leveraging technology.
• The importance of being given to the programme is evident from the fact that as many as 14 Central Departments and all the State Governments are being involved in the programme. Tamil Nadu tops the list of the states in terms of the number of participants in the programme. The Integrated Child Development Scheme has been in force for long in the southern state that has got rejuvenated with the Centre’s Poshan Abhiyaan mission.
• The programme is revitalizing India by reaching out to the children and mothers across the nation.

• This day is observed globally every year on 8 March to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
• It is a focal point in the movement for women’s rights.
• The theme for IWD 2020 is each for Equal, recognising all of the actions we can take as individuals to challenge stereotypes, fight prejudice and celebrate women’s the year 2020 is an important one for gender equality.
