बारबाडोस विश्‍व का सबसे नया गणराज्य बना

• ब्रिटिश उपनिवेश बनने के लगभग 400 वर्ष बाद बारबाडोस विश्‍व का सबसे नया गणराज्य बन गया है। कहा जाता है कि बारबाडोस को अंग्रेजों ने 'गुलाम समाज' बना दिया था। यह पहली बार 1625 में एक अंग्रेजी उपनिवेश बना। 1966 में इसे स्वतंत्रता मिली। कैरेबियाई द्वीप राष्ट्र बारबाडोस ने महारानी एलिजाबेथ द्वितीय को राज्य के प्रमुख के पद से हटा दिया।
• डेम सैंड्रा प्रुनेला मेसन ने बारबाडोस के राष्ट्रपति के रूप में पदभार ग्रहण किया। उन्हें अक्टूबर 2021 में बारबाडोस के पहले राष्ट्रपति बनने के लिए चुना गया था। बारबाडोस की संसद के दोनों सदनों की संयुक्त बैठक में उन्हें बारबाडोस के राष्ट्रपति के रूप में चुना गया था। उनके नाम की घोषणा हाउस ऑफ असेंबली के स्पीकर आर्थर होल्डर ने की।

केरल पर्यटन ने आगंतुकों के अनुभव को बढ़ाने के लिए स्ट्रीट परियोजना शुरू की

• केरल पर्यटन ने केरल के अंदरूनी और ग्रामीण इलाकों में पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने और गहराई तक ले जाने के लिए 'स्ट्रीट' परियोजना शुरू की। परियोजना आगंतुकों को इन स्थानों में संस्कृति की विविधता का अनुभव करने में मदद करेगी। STREET स्थायी, मूर्त, जिम्मेदार, अनुभवात्मक, जातीय, पर्यटन केंद्रों के लिए एक संक्षिप्त शब्द है।
• STREET परियोजना का उद्देश्य यात्रियों के सामने केरल राज्य की विशिष्ट पहचान प्रस्तुत करना है। यह पर्यटन क्षेत्र में विकास की एक बड़ी संभावना भी प्रदान करता है और महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव लाएगा।

 पहला भारतीय युवा जल पेशेवर कार्यक्रम वस्तुतः लॉन्च किया गया

• भारतीय युवा जल पेशेवर कार्यक्रम का पहला संस्करण आभासी रूप से लॉन्च किया गया था। कार्यक्रम ऑस्ट्रेलिया में भारतीय उच्चायुक्त, मनप्रीत वोहरा, भारत में ऑस्ट्रेलियाई उच्चायुक्त, बैरी ओ 'फैरेल और जल शक्ति मंत्रालय के अतिरिक्त सचिव, देबाश्री मुखर्जी की उपस्थिति में शुरू किया गया था। यह कार्यक्रम राष्ट्रीय जल विज्ञान परियोजना के तहत शुरू किया गया था।
• इंडिया यंग वाटर प्रोफेशनल प्रोग्राम विशिष्ट क्षमता निर्माण और प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमों से अद्वितीय और अलग है। यह लगे हुए प्रशिक्षण और सीखने के मॉडल पर केंद्रित है।
• इस कार्यक्रम का 70% सिचुएशन अंडरस्टैंडिंग एंड इम्प्रूवमेंट प्रोजेक्ट्स (SUIP) के माध्यम से परियोजना-आधारित सीखने पर केंद्रित है।
• यह लैंगिक समानता और विविधता पर भी ध्यान केंद्रित करता है, क्योंकि स्थायी जल प्रबंधन केवल समाज के सभी सदस्यों के कौशल और विचारों से लाभान्वित हो सकता है।
• कार्यक्रम के पहले संस्करण के लिए, लगभग 20 प्रतिभागियों का चयन किया गया है, जिसमें राष्ट्रीय जल विज्ञान परियोजना की केंद्रीय और राज्य कार्यान्वयन एजेंसियों से 10 पुरुष और 10 महिलाएं शामिल हैं।

 ऑल इंडिया रेडियो ने यंग इंडिया वॉयस को दिया मौका 

• ऑल इंडिया रेडियो ने AIRNxt नामक एक नया कार्यक्रम शुरू करने का फैसला किया है ताकि युवाओं को अपनी आवाज को प्रसारित करने के लिए एक मंच प्रदान किया जा सके, जो चल रहे आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव समारोह के हिस्से के रूप में है। AIR स्टेशन स्थानीय कॉलेजों, विश्वविद्यालयों के युवाओं को प्रोग्रामिंग में भाग लेने की अनुमति देगा, जिससे वे युवा-केंद्रित शो पर चर्चा और क्यूरेट कर सकेंगे।

लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मनोज कुमार मागो ने एनडीसी कमांडेंट के रूप में पदभार संभाला

• लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मनोज कुमार मागो ने राष्ट्रीय रक्षा कॉलेज (NDC), नई दिल्ली के कमांडेंट के रूप में पदभार ग्रहण किया है। वह लुधियाना के रहने वाले हैं, एनडीसी में असाइनमेंट दिए जाने से पहले बठिंडा में 10 कोर की कमान संभाल रहे थे, जिसमें देश के सबसे वरिष्ठ सैन्य अधिकारियों, नागरिक अधिकारी और भारतीय पुलिस सेवा के बीच एक रणनीतिक संस्कृति विकसित करना शामिल है। लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मागो, जो भारतीय सैन्य अकादमी, देहरादून से उत्तीर्ण हुए, को 1984 में गार्ड्स ब्रिगेड की 7वीं बटालियन में कमीशन किया गया था। बाद में उन्होंने 16 गार्ड्स की कमान संभाली।

C-19 के कारण राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेता कोरियोग्राफर शिव शंकर का निधन

• प्रसिद्ध राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेता कोरियोग्राफर और अभिनेता, शिव शंकर मास्टर का हैदराबाद, तेलंगाना में निधन हो गया। उनका जन्म 7 दिसंबर 1948 को चेन्नई, तमिलनाडु में हुआ था। वह एक भारतीय नृत्य कोरियोग्राफर थे, उन्होंने दक्षिण भारतीय फिल्मों में काम किया। उन्हें फिल्म 'मगधीरा' के लिए 'सर्वश्रेष्ठ कोरियोग्राफर' का राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार मिला।

राष्ट्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण दिवस 2021: 2 दिसंबर

• राष्ट्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 2 दिसंबर को मनाया जाता है। 1984 में भोपाल गैस त्रासदी में मारे गए लोगों के जीवन को मनाने के लिए इस दिन को राष्ट्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इस दिन का मुख्य उद्देश्य लोगों को शिक्षित करना और उन्हें प्रदूषण नियंत्रण अधिनियमों और औद्योगिक आपदाओं के बारे में जागरूक करना है। इस वर्ष 37वां राष्ट्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण दिवस मनाया जाएगा। इस दिन के बारे में अधिक जानने के लिए, उम्मीदवारों को सलाह दी जाती है कि वे नीचे दिए गए लेख को पढ़ें।

• भारत के उपराष्ट्रपति, वेंकैया नायडू ने 'भारत के संविधान' को अपनाने की 72 वीं वर्षगांठ पर केंद्रीय संसद भवन, नई दिल्ली में एक कार्यक्रम में अंग्रेजी में "डेमोक्रेसी, पॉलिटिक्स और गवर्नेंस" और हिंदी में 'लोकतंत्र, राजनीति और धर्म' नामक पुस्तक का विमोचन किया। पुस्तक के लेखक डॉ. ए सूर्य प्रकाश हैं।
• यह पुस्तक भारत की राजनीति और शासन को प्रभावित करने वाले सामाजिक, राजनीतिक और आर्थिक मुद्दों के बारे में लेखों का एक संग्रह है। डॉ ए सूर्य प्रकाश नेहरू मेमोरियल संग्रहालय और पुस्तकालय की कार्यकारी परिषद के उपाध्यक्ष और एक अनुभवी पत्रकार भी हैं।

Barbados parts way with Queen and becomes world's newest republic

• Barbados has become the World’s newest republic, around 400 years after it became a British colony. Barbados is said to have been made a ‘slave society by the British. It first became an English colony in 1625. It gained its independence in 1966. Barbados, the Caribbean Island nation, removed Queen Elizabeth II as the head of the state.
• Dame Sandra Prunella Mason took over as the President of Barbados. He was selected to become the first president of Barbados in October 2021. He was selected as President of Barbados, at a joint meeting of both the Houses of Parliament of Barbados. His name was announced by Speaker of the House of Assembly, Arthur Holder.

Kerala Tourism launches STREET project to enhance visitor experience

• Kerala Tourism launched the ‘STREET’ project to promote and take tourism deep into the interiors and rural hinterland of Kerala. The project would help visitors experience the diversity of offerings in these locales. The STREET is an acronym for Sustainable, Tangible, Responsible, Experiential, Ethnic, Tourism hubs.
• The STREET project aims to present the unique identity of the state of Kerala before to travellers. It also offers a huge potential for growth in the tourism sector and would bring in significant changes.
• The project will foster mutually beneficial organic relationships between tourism development and the ordinary lives of people in the state of Kerala.

First Indian Young Water Professionals Programme launched virtually

• The First Edition of the Indian Young Water Professionals Programme was launched virtually. The programme was launched in the presence of the Indian High Commissioner to Australia, Manpreet Vohra; Australian High Commissioner to India, Barry O’ Farrell and Additional Secretary of Ministry of Jal Shakti, Debashree Mukherjee. The program was taken up under National Hydrology Project.
• The India Young Water Professional Programme is unique and different from typical capacity building and training programs. It focuses on the engaged Training and Learning Model.
• 70% of this program is focused on project-based learning by means of Situation Understanding and Improvement Projects (SUIP).
• It also focuses on gender equality and diversity, since sustainable water management can only benefit from the skills and views of all members of society.
• For the first edition of the programme, about 20 participants have been selected, comprising of 10 men and 10 women, from central & state implementing agencies of the National Hydrology Project.

 All India Radio gives opportunity to Young India Voices

• All India Radio has decided to begin a new programme called AIRNxt to offer youth a platform to air their voices as part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. AIR stations will allow youngsters from local colleges, universities to take part in programming, allowing them to discuss and curate youth-centric shows.
• It added that about 20,000 youth from 1,000 educational institutions will be participating during the next year from every nook and corner of India through 167 AIR stations.
• These shows would encourage the youth to speak about the achievements of the country during the last 75 years of independence and where do they expect the country to reach in various fields.
• This way, the youth can air their big dreams and define the future of India. It is the biggest single theme show on All India Radio involving thousands of youth and hundreds of Educational Institutions across the country. This talent hunt show #AIRNxt will be broadcast in all major Indian languages and dialects.

Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Mago takes over as NDC Commandant

• Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Mago has taken over as the Commandant of National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi. He hails from Ludhiana, was commanding the 10 Corps at Bathinda before being given the assignment at NDC that entails evolving a strategic culture among the country’s senior-most officials of the military, the civilian bureaucracy and the Indian Police Service. Lt Gen Mago, who passed out of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, was commissioned into the 7th Battalion of the Brigade of Guards in 1984. He later commanded 16 Guards.

National Award-winning Choreographer Shiva Shankar passes away due to C-19

• The renowned National Award-winning choreographer and actor, Shiva Shankar Master passed away in Hyderabad, Telangana. He was born on 7 December 1948 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He was an Indian dance choreographer, worked in South Indian movies. He received the National Award for ‘Best Choreographer’ for the movie ‘Magadheera’.

National Pollution Control Day 2021: 2nd December

• Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu on the 72nd anniversary of the adoption of the ‘Constitution of India’ released a book titled “Democracy, Politics and Governance” in English and ‘Loktantr, Rajniti and Dharm’ in Hindi at an event in the Central Hall of Parliament, New Delhi. The book was authored by Dr A. Surya Prakash.
• This book is a collection of articles about the social, political, and economic issues that impacted India’s politics and governance. Dr A. Surya Prakash is a Vice Chairman, Executive Council of Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, and also a veteran journalist.

India1 Payments deploys over 10,000 White Label ATMs

• India1 Payments has crossed a milestone on deploying 10000 white-label ATMs, which was called as “India1ATMs”. India1 Payments is IPO-bound and is promoted by the Banktech Group of Australia. It was formerly known as BTI Payments. India1 ATM has become the second-largest white label ATM brand on semi-urban and rural areas. With the deployment of 10000 ATMs, India1 Payments has become the largest player in this segment.
• The Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) which are set up, owned and operated by non-bank entities are known as “White Label ATMs” (WLAs). Non-bank entities which are incorporated in India, under the Companies Act 1956, are allowed to run WLAs. Non-bank entities are allowed to set up WLAs across India, after getting authorisation from the apex bank, under the Payment & Settlement Systems (PSS) Act, 2007.
