भारतीय फार्मा और बायोटेक उद्योग को 2025 तक 100 बिलियन डॉलर तक बढ़ने की उम्मीद है:

• केंद्रीय वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने कहा है कि भारतीय फार्मा और बायोटेक उद्योग 2025 तक 100 बिलियन डॉलर बढ़ने की उम्मीद है, जो वर्तमान आकार लगभग 40 बिलियन डॉलर है।
• उन्होंने वैश्विक मंदी और हाल के कोरोना वायरस के प्रकोप के बावजूद 10 प्रतिशत की वार्षिक वृद्धि दर की उम्मीद है।

मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्री कहते हैं: सरकार, 2030 तक उच्च शिक्षा में 50% सकल नामांकन अनुपात हासिल करेगी:

• केंद्र सरकार ने अपनी कामकाजी आबादी को रोजगार योग्य कौशल से लैस करने के लिए 2030 तक उच्च शिक्षा में 50 प्रतिशत सकल नामांकन अनुपात प्राप्त करने के लिए एक महत्वाकांक्षी लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया है।
• मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्री रमेश पोखरियाल निशंक ने नई दिल्ली में इंदिरा गांधी राष्ट्रीय मुक्त विश्वविद्यालय, IGNOU के 33 वें दीक्षांत समारोह में यह बात कही।

2025 तक दुग्ध प्रसंस्करण क्षमता को दोगुना करेगी: सरकार

• केंद्र सरकार दुग्ध प्रसंस्करण क्षमता को 53 मिलियन टन से बढ़ाकर 108 मिलियन टन करने की सुविधा प्रदान करेगी।
• मत्स्य, पशुपालन और डेयरी मंत्रालय ने कहा, सरकार आनुवंशिक सुधार और इनपुट लागत में कमी के माध्यम से दुग्ध उत्पादकता बढ़ाने की दिशा में लगातार काम कर रही है।
• भारत में, दूध उत्पादन पिछले पांच वर्षों के दौरान 4 प्रतिशत बढ़ रहा है और 2014-15 में 146 मिलियन टन से अधिक बढ़कर 2018-19 में 187 मिलियन टन हो गया है।

बिजली विभाग के लिए प्रदर्शन विनियमन अधिनियम लागू करने वाला यूपी पहला राज्य बन गया:

• उत्तर प्रदेश ने बिजली विभाग के लिए प्रदर्शन विनियमन अधिनियम 2019 लागू किया है। यह उपभोक्ताओं को समय पर और परेशानी मुक्त सेवा प्रदान करना है।
• उपभोक्ताओं को अब विभाग द्वारा उनकी शिकायतों को हल करने में देरी के लिए वित्तीय मुआवजा मिलेगा। नए कानून से लगभग 2 करोड़ 87 लाख लोगों को लाभ होने की संभावना है।

भारत की राज्य पक्षी 2020 रिपोर्ट जारी:

• हाल ही में जारी "भारतीय स्टेट्स बर्ड्स 2020" रिपोर्ट में उच्च संरक्षण चिंता के लिए पक्षियों की 101 प्रजातियों को वर्गीकृत किया गया है।रिपोर्ट में 850 से अधिक पक्षियों का मूल्यांकन किया गया और यह पता चला कि लगभग सभी पक्षी प्रजातियां गिरावट पर हैं।
• यह रिपोर्ट गुजरात के गांधीनगर में आयोजित वन्य प्राणियों के प्रवासी प्रजातियों के संरक्षण पर 13वें सीओपी सम्मेलन के दौरान जारी की गई थी।

CDS जनरल बिपिन रावत ने प्रायद्वीप कमान बनाने की योजना की घोषणा की:

• चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ, जनरल बिपिन रावत ने कहा कि नौसेना की पूर्वी और पश्चिमी कमान के साथ एक प्रायद्वीप कमान बनाने की योजना है।
• जनरल रावत ने कहा कि भारत दो से पांच थिएटर कमांड की स्थापना कर रहा है। एयर डिफेंस कमांड को अगले साल की शुरुआत में शुरू कर दिया जाएगा और प्रायद्वीप की कमान जल्द ही शुरू की जाएगी।

बैंकिंग और अर्थव्यवस्था

सेबी ने नियामक सैंडबॉक्स के उपयोग की अनुमति देने का फैसला किया:

• भारतीय प्रतिभूति और विनिमय बोर्ड (सेबी) ने नियामक सैंडबॉक्स के उपयोग की अनुमति देने का फैसला किया है, एक प्रणाली जो चुनिंदा ग्राहकों पर बाजार के खिलाड़ियों द्वारा नए उत्पादों, सेवाओं और व्यापार मॉडल का लाइव परीक्षण करने की अनुमति देगी। यह निर्णय सेबी की बोर्ड बैठक में लिया गया। मुंबई में आयोजित हुआ।

कर्नाटक इकाई के लिए 500 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश: IOC:

• इंडियन ऑयल कॉर्पोरेशन (IOC) ने कर्नाटक सरकार के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं जिसके तहत फर्म कर्नाटक में चित्रदुर्ग में पेट्रोलियम उत्पादों को प्राप्त करने, भंडारण और वितरण टर्मिनल स्थापित करने के लिए 500 करोड़ का निवेश करेगी।
• यह जिले में 120 एकड़ के क्षेत्र में स्थापित किया जाएगा।एमओयू पर 'निवेश कर्नाटक' के दौरान हुबली में सम्मेलन के दौरान हस्ताक्षर किए गए थे।

स्टार्टअप्स को बढ़ावा देने के लिए ओडिशा MSMEविभाग ने HDFC बैंक के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए:

• ओडिशा सरकार के सूक्ष्म लघु और मध्यम उद्यमों (MSME) विभाग ने आवास विकास वित्त निगम (HDFC) बैंक लिमिटेड के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।
• उद्देश्य: स्टार्टअप ओडिशा द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त स्टार्टअप्स को स्मार्ट बैंकिंग समाधान प्रदान करना और सभी स्टार्टअप्स को इनक्यूबेशन और एक्सेलेरेशन सपोर्ट देना, उनके साथ बैंकिंग करना।

• Union Minister for Commerce and Industries Piyush Goyal has stated that the Indian pharma and biotech industry is expected to grow to 100 billion dollars by 2025 from the current size of about 40 billion dollars.
• He predicted an annual growth rate of 10 per cent despite the global slow down and the recent Corona virus outbreak.

Govt to achieve 50% Gross Enrollment Ratio in higher education by 2030, says HRD Minister:

• Union Government has set an ambitious target to achieve 50 per cent Gross Enrollment Ratio in higher education by 2030 to equip its working population with employable skills.
• Minister for Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank stated this at the 33rd Convocation Ceremony of Indira Gandhi National Open University, IGNOU in New Delhi.

Govt to facilitate doubling of milk processing capacity by 2025:

• Union Government will facilitate doubling of milk processing capacity from over 53 million tonne to 108 million tonne by

• Uttar Pradesh has enforced Performance Regulation Act 2019 for the power department. It is to provide timely and hassle-free service to the consumers.
• The consumers would now get financial compensation for delay in solving their complaints by the department. Around 2 crore 87 lakh people are likely to be benefitted from the new law.

State of India’s Birds 2020 Report released:

• The recently released “State of India’s Birds 2020” Report categorises 101 species of birds for High Conservation Concern. The report assessed over 850 birds and revealed that almost all the bird species are on a decline.
• The report was released during the 13th COP Convention on the ‘Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals’ that was held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

In Afghanistan, independent Election Commission announced that Ashraf Ghani has won a second term as President of the country. • According to the 22nd edition of the world language database Ethnologue, Hindi is the third most spoken language in the world with 615 million speakers. The Ethnologue stated that English has the most number of speakers (1132 million) while Chinese Mandarin secured second place with 1117 million speakers.
• The report highlights that Bangla is the seventh most spoken language of the world as it has 228 million speakers in the world. Ethnologue provides an annual database of living languages of the world.
• It covers 7111 living languages across the globe. Apart from that, it also collects data on languages that have gone out of use in the recent past.

• The Soil Health Card Day is being observed on 19th of February. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the Soil Health Card (SHC) Scheme on 19th February 2015 at Suratgarh in Rajasthan.
