The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) main will be directed by the National Testing Agency (NTA). There is a separate entrance exam conducted for B.Arch students. Earlier, JEE mains was conducted for engineering students only, but now Architecture students will also be giving the JEE main exam for their admission to different architecture colleges.

Now JEE mains will be held four times a year, i.e. two times for engineering students and two times for architecture students.

JEE main paper 2 comprises 2 papers: Paper 2A – B.Arch, Paper 2B – B.Plan.

The national testing agency (NTA) will conduct JEE main 2024 for three papers, i.e. paper 1 – BE/ B.Tech, Paper 2A – B.Arch, and Paper 2B – B.Planning.

• There are 345 exam centers allotted for the JEE main paper 2 of B.Arch.
• The exam centers are located both in India and abroad also.
• The JEE Main paper 2 is conducted in three languages, i.e. English, Hindi, and Gujarati.

JEE Main Paper 2 Counselling Process

The counselling process for JEE Main Paper 2 started in June 2024. The students are advised to check the eligibility criteria thoroughly before applying for the seat allotment round.

The first step after the announcement of the ranks is choice filling; the candidate has to choose architecture colleges according to their ranks obtained in JEE main.

After submitting their choice filling form, the next step is to wait for the seat allotment round to begin.

There will be six-seat allotment rounds. In any round your rank comes, you can be admitted to that college by submitting the documents and fees.

And after submitting, you can wait for the next round as you get a chance to shift your seat to a different college based on your rank.

You have to submit some part of the fees for just booking the seat so that the seat is reserved for you and you can wait for the next round. The general category students have to submit around Rs. 35000/-.
