SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2020

As per the notification, Stenographer Group C and D exams are conducted on two stages: Computer Based Exam and Skill Test. Here is a glimpse of the SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern for both the stages. Go through the paper pattern and plan your preparation accordingly.

Stenographer Computer-based Test Exam Pattern

• The Stenographer Computer Exam for Group C and D includes Objective type questions i.e., Multiple Choice Questions.
• The Questions for Reasoning section will appear in both Hindi and English.
• There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
• For the final merit list, marks scored by candidates in the Computer Based Examinations, if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized using SSC Normalization Process.
• The total duration of the exam is 2 hours.

Skill Test

Candidates qualifying the Computer-based exam will be called for Skill Test in Stenography.

• Candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English/ Hindi at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’.
• Candidates qualifying the Skill Test successfully will be later called for Documentation Verification.
