CUET Exam originated when NTA felt the need of centralising the admission process for all Central Universities. And now not just limited to these, all state-level, deemed and a few private universities accept the Common University Entrance Test scores for admissions to their UG & PG level courses.

Changes in CUET Notification 2024
You can choose a total of 6 subjects from all the sections in total. This means, you need to plan your course and college choices precisely.
As per the notification, there isn't any given combination of subject as the best of all. However, they mentioned it is advisable to choose atleast 1 language and general test.
The old website named cuet.samarth.ac.in has been replaced with a newly launched portal exams.nta.ac.in/cuet-ug
The exam mode as announced previously is hybrid mode. Offline mode of exam will be considered for subjects with applications above 1.5 lacs.

The CUET Date is most likely to get changed due to the upcoming election calendar. However, there isn't any official notice on the same.
Subjects with large registrations will have single shift and there won't be any normalization applied in such cases.

What is CUET 2024?
CUET is a standardized entrance exam conducted for courses of all streams by India's National Testing Agency (NTA). Introduced in 2022, this exam is a gateway for admission to undergraduate, post-graduate and even research programs in universities nationwide. These programs include various fields such as economics, commerce, linguistics, humanities, liberal arts, zoology, sciences, vocational learning and more.
CUCET vs CUET 2024: What is the Difference?
The CUET full form is Common University Entrance Test while CUCET expands as Central University Common Entrance Test.
To simplify the previously conducted CUCET was a national-level entrance exam administered by Central University of Rajasthan for UG, PG Research Program admissions.
With the proposal to expand the number of colleges & courses under this exam and to make it competitive yet a centralized exam for admissions to such programs, the final name allotted to the exam is CUET.

CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria [Educational Qualification & Age limit]
To be eligible to apply for the CUET 2024 Exam, you must satisfy specific eligibility criteria set by the exam conducting body, which can be different for each participating university.
The expected CUET Eligibility Criteria for the courses are listed below.
All Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for the exam. (foreign candidates, NRI, and OCI candidates can also apply for CUET)
For UG courses, you must have completed class 12 with qualifying marks set by the university.

You are advised to visit the official website of the respective college that you wish to apply, as the eligibility requirements can change from college to college and may also differ for every UG program.
You can follow the instructions below while completing the CUET Application Form 2024.
The online window to register for the exam shall appear on the screen after clicking the "click here to apply" button on the official website.
Once you click the "new register" button, the commonly asked registration fields such as name, mobile number, and E-mail ID shall appear on the screen.
You will receive the username and password to the registered mobile number and E-mail upon successful registration.
It would be best to correctly fill in all mandatory fields like qualification details, communication details, parent details, exam centre preferences, and category.
The next step is to upload your photograph, signature, and other required documents as per the specifications given in the official notification.
Once selected, click the "save & proceed" button and preview the online form.
Next, click the "make payment" button and pay the application fee per your category.

The significant rise in the number of applicants across various subjects from 2022 to 2023 underscores the CUET's expanding footprint in the academic arena.
It also reflects the broadening spectrum of academic interests among students, pointing towards a more diversified and inclusive approach to university admissions.
CUET UG 2024 adopts a hybrid format, offering both online and paper-based exams for high registration subjects, aimed at increasing accessibility for candidates, especially from rural areas.
The exam limits subject choices to six, streamlining the process and reducing stress. Registration opens around February 19, with exams scheduled between May 15 and May 31, in three shifts daily.
The pattern of the question paper will comprise multiple-choice questions. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrongly answered question.

Latest Changes in CUET UG Exam 2024
As per NTA's latest modification, CUET UG 2024 will be conducted in hybrid mode for applicants appearing from remote locations.
NTA has also reduced the subjects to emphasize on enhanced focus on only 6 subjects for better preparation.

Here's how the marking scheme for CUET 2024 exam works, even when there are discrepancies:
If all options are found to be correct, then five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted to answer the question.
If none of the options is found correct a question is found to be wrong, or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.

Knowing the syllabus plays a vital part in your preparation. NTA has released the syllabus for every language, domain and GT with units and important sub-units in the form of a PDF on the official website.
The CUET UG syllabus has been divided into three sections: Section 1 (1A and 1B), Section 2, and Section 3. Sections 1A and 1B of the UG CUET syllabus comprise language questions, Section II has domain-specific questions, and Section III contains General Test questions.

Step 3: Calculation of the Normalized Score using Interpolation
The raw score obtained by the student is compared to the percentile values of all the other students, and the percentile value which is closest to the student’s raw score is taken as the student's percentile value.
Each participating university will conduct a separate counselling process after completing the exam. You must visit the institute's official website and register to participate in the CUET 2024 Counselling Process.
