SSC CGL Overall Shift 1 Exam Analysis (Tier 1)

SSC CGL 2018 has been conducted successfully for Shift 1 on June 11, 2019. The exam followed a similar pattern with no change in the predicted question pattern.

  • There were 100 questions in the exam with negative marking of 0.5 marks for every incorrect answer.
  • The sections in the exam followed a specific order: Reasoning > GK > Quant/Maths > English
  • Maths section was of Moderate Level Difficulty. They had to spend most of their time in this section since it was a bit calculative. Questions in this section were not based on direct formulae.
  • English was an easy section of this examination. Candidates who have practiced Vocab and Comprehension could crack this section.
  • The reasoning was easy for most students.
  • GK was relatively easy in this shift. Candidates could attempt most of the questions, however, current affairs continue to dominate this section.
  • The overall good attempts for this shift 77-83.
