CUET admissions for the previous academic year have concluded, and by November, the classes for UG courses will start in almost every participating college. The exam was a success, with 9,68,201 candidates appearing for the exam across 249 cities in India and 10-13 cities outside India.
It was the second-biggest examination conducted, with such a large number of students participating in it.
Last year about 90 universities participated in CUET, and it is expected that the number will grow higher next year. Amongst these participating universities, there were central, state, private and deemed universities accepting Central University Entrance test scores for their admission process.
Top universities like DU, AMU, JNU, JMI and many more colleges are happy with the new admission process in place. These colleges have concluded their final rounds of the counselling process and expressed the ease of the CUET admission process over merit-based admissions followed previously.
