LIC Assistant Exam Pattern 2019 Highlights

Students have to crack the Prelims exam if they want to write the Mains Exam. The Mains Exam is a bit tougher than the Prelims Exam. Read the following to know more:

LIC Assistant Exam Pattern 2019 (Mains)

All tests are separately timed.And all candidates need to remain in the exam venue for approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes including the Log In time , collection of Hall Ticket , reading Instructions etc.All the questions will have multiple choices answers.All objective type tests will be provided both in English and Hindi except the language test.Every Section will be given specific time and the candidates can answer the questions only within the allotted time.Out of five answers to a question,only one will be correct and candidates need to select that correct answer.There will be a penalty for every wrong answer and 1/4 of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted as the penalty. Read the following to know more about Mains Exam:

• The candidates must obtain minimum qualifying marks in each Section separately and obtain the minimum  marks in aggregate to qualify the exam
• Candidates have to complete 5 sections within 2 hours and 30 minutes
• Sectional timing is segregated into 40 minutes for each section
• The selection of the candidate will be based on marks secured in Mains Exam
• The candidates who clear Mains will be called for Medical Test

LIC Assistant Scoring Pattern 2019

The Exam has a definite scoring pattern and the scores will be obtained by the candidates through the following manner-

• After applying the penalty for wrong answers,the number of correctly answered questions in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score
• The Corrected Scores obtained by a candidate are made equivalent in order to take care of the minor differences in difficulty level ,if any,in all the objective tests held in various sessions in order to arrive at Equated Scores.
• Scores obtained by candidates on any tests are equated to the base form in consideration to the Score distributions of all the forms
• The Scores on total and Testwise Scores are reported with decimal points up to two digits

The cut-offs will be applied in two stages-

• On scores in all the individual stages
• On total Scores

LIC Assistant Exam Pattern 2019 (Prelims)

The Prelims Exam is scheduled for October 30 & 31, 2019. Candidates have to complete 100 questions within an hour.

• The exam will be conducted in online mode
• Sectional timing of 20 minutes to each section is given
• The subjects included in the Prelims Exam are Reasoning, English & Maths
• On the other hand, the subjects in Mains are Reasoning, GK, English, Hindi, Maths & Reasoning. Hindi has recently been added as a subject in Mains Exam
• The best way to clear the exam is to solve 1 Mock Test each day
• The students can fill the application forms from September 17, 2019-October 01, 2019
• To crack the paper, the candidates must solve Previous Year Question Papers. They help in analyzing the exam pattern in a better way
