Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) was built with the simple motive of making a commission who himself will be fully responsible for the recruitment of the government posts in the state. JPSC organizes this exam for the state of Jharkhand only it is for the state only. It is a state-level examination. JPSC directs the Combined Civil Service examination for the recruitment of the eligible and talented candidates in the various departments of the state government.
It is recruitment for the Top-level officers in the state government. The candidates will be recruited as a Deputy Collector, and DSP, etc in the state government only. This exam is directed to recruit young and hardworking candidates in the Jharkhand state government.
Every year, thousands of students appear for this exam but only a few of this can get a chance to get recruited in various departments of the state government. This time they have introduced 267 vacancies for the recruitment in the state government departments.

JPSC Notification 2020
- The online notification for JPSC Exam was out on 26th February 2020.
- The online application process will begin from 1st March 2020.
- The last date to apply for the application form online is till 30th March 2020.
- The last date to pay the application form fee online is till 1st April 2020.
- This exam is directed in 3 phrases – Preliminary examination, Mains examination, Personal Interview Test.
- The candidate who wants to apply for the JPSC exam should have completed graduation and holds a degree of that or equivalent degree of any specific subject passed from the recognized board/institute.
- The minimum and maximum eligible age for the candidate is from 21 years to 35 years as on 1st August 2019.
- The preliminary examination is of 400 marks which are divided in 2 papers of General Studies, 200 marks for each paper and to attempt this exam the candidate will get 2 hours to time for each paper individually. This is an objective type questions exam.
- The Mains examination is of 1050 marks which are divided into 6 papers. Each paper carries different marks but the candidate will get 3 hours of time for each paper individually. This is a subjective type questions exam.
- The Personal Interview test is of 100 marks. This candidate will check on the basis of their ability, capability, hard work, dedication, etc.
- The Preliminary exam will take place on 5th April 2020.
- The Mains exam will be happening from 4th June to 7th June 2020.
- The final interview round will be taken from 4th August 2020 to 14th August 2020.

Steps involved in filling the Application Form of JPSC 2020
- SIGNUP/REGISTRATION
- Go to the official site – jpsc.gov.in
- Click on the link 'JPSC Combined Civil Services Examination 2020'.
- Enter Applicant’s Name, Date of Birth, Email Address and Phone Number.
- Enter the captcha and snap on the "Submit" button. You will get your login credentials at the enrolled ID.
- FILL THE PERSONAL DETAILS IN APPLICATION FORM
- Sign in again using your User ID and secret key to fill the application form
- Competitors need to fill their Personal, Educational, Parental and Employment subtleties.
- Continue sparing each module consequent to filling the subtleties.
- You can make changes before the last convenience.
- In any case, no progressions would be possible after the last settlement, hence fill the application form carefully.

- PAYMENT OF APPLICATION FEES
- Firstly, the candidate has to choose what they will like to pay the application offline or online.
- If offline they can pay through the e-challan issued by SBI bank.
- If online then they can pay through many ways like through net banking, debit cards, UPI.
- After paying the application competitor need to tap on the "submit" button to present the application.
- The application fee for the General/EWS/OBC Jharkhand category applicant is Rs. 600/- for the preliminary examination
- The SC/ST Jharkhand category candidates have to pay Rs. 150/- as the application fee for the exam.

JPSC 2020 Exam Pattern
- This exam is directed into 3 phrases – phrase 1 – preliminary exam, phrase 2 – mains examination, phrase 3 – personal interview test.
- The preliminary exam consists of 2 papers of General Studies I and II. Each paper is of 200 marks and 2 hours time is allotted for each exam. Both the papers are objective type questions exam. Candidates have to qualify this exam to go ahead in the selection process but preliminary exam marks will not be considered for the selection process.
- The Mains exam consists of 6 papers i.e. Paper I – General Hindi and General English (50 questions each from both the subjects and marks allotted is 100 marks), Paper-II – Language and Literature ( 150 questions marks allotted is 150 marks), Paper-III - Social Sciences, History, and Geography (200 questions marks allotted is 200 marks), Paper-IV – Indian Constitution, Polity, Public Administration, and Good Governance (200 questions marks allotted is 200 marks), Paper-V – Indian Economy, Globalization, and Sustainable Development (200 questions marks allotted is 200 marks), and Paper-VI – General Sciences, Environment & Technology Development (200 questions marks allotted is 200 marks).
- The candidate will get 3 hours of time for each paper of Mains examination and this is a subjective type questions exam.
