Eligibility Criteria of PGPM at IIM Shillong for 2024

• Bachelor's Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA++ (45% in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) categories).
• For domestic candidates, one must have a valid CAT 2023 score, conforming to the shortlisting criteria of IIM Shillong.
• Overseas candidates, those for whom it is/was not possible to appear in CAT 2022 due to their place of residence being outside India, can apply for admission to PGP (2024-26) based on GMAT scores. Kindly note that GMAT taken before December 15, 2018, will not be valid.

IIM Shillong Admission Procedure 2024-26

Admission to the PGP 2024-26 batch will involve two phases, viz.,

• Phase 1- Candidates will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) process.
• Phase 2- The final merit list will be prepared for the offer of admission to the PGP 2024-26 batch.

PHASE 1: SHORTLISTING FOR PERSONAL INTERVIEW (PI)

Preliminary Screening

1. The process of selection criteria of IIMs has a lot of things in common. If we speak of IIM Shillong, then candidates who have opted (as per the CAT-2023 application) for PGP 2024-26 batch are eligible for consideration in Phase 1. The minimum requirement of marks in various sections of CAT for candidates across different categories to be considered for shortlisting for the PI process.

2. Post Step 1, Composite Scores will be calculated for eligible candidates. This score is based on the total CAT percentile and normalized application rating score (NARS), having a weightage of 60% and 40%, respectively.

3. The candidates will then be ranked based on their Composite Score.

4. Post-step 2, the candidates will be grouped according to their academic disciplines at graduation, as reported in CAT-2023.

5. The identified pool of eligible candidates in respective academic disciplines (i) would be further grouped as per their social categories, the number of candidates in a social category being 𝑀𝑗, ∀ 𝑗 = E, 𝑇, 𝐶, 𝑂. Thus,

• 𝑀E: Number of candidates in category EWS
• 𝑀T: Number of candidates in category ST
• 𝑀C: Number of candidates in category SC
• 𝑀o: Number of candidates in category OT

6. Finally, the number of candidates to be shortlisted for PI will be based on the total number of X candidates who will be shortlisted for PI. The value of X will be decided based on the overall performance of the candidates in CAT- 2023.

7. The candidates in a given social category, academic discipline, and gender would be ranked based on the decreasing order of their Composite Score as calculated in Step 2.

PHASE 2: MERIT LISTING FOR OFFERING ADMISSION TO PGP 2024-26 BATCH

• After the PI process, the scores of PI will be used, along with ARS, overall, CAT performance, and gender score of the shortlisted candidates, for preparation of the final merit list.
• To improve gender diversity, Gender (G) will entail a score of 10 for all candidates except those of the gender of maximum proportion appearing in CAT 2023.

• Scanned passport-size photograph of you in JPG/JPEG format (size maximum 80 KBS) 
• I captured a clear signature of you in JPG/JPEG format (size of minimum 150 pixels). 
• Scanned copies of self-attested Category certificate (SC, ST, OBC, PwD certificate), if applicable 
• A valid e-mail ID. 
• A printer is connected to your system to print a confirmation page. 

How to apply? 

• CAT 2023 Registration Form | CAT Application Form 2023 (iimcat-edu. in) and create your login ID and password.
• Enter your personal, educational and work experience in the required fields. 
• Upload the scanned photograph, signature and category certificates. 
• Pay the application fee online at the ‘Make Payment’ tab. 
• Application Fee for the exam is INR 1900.
• Once the application filling is over, submit the form and take a hard copy printout for future reference. Also, record your login credentials for future reference.
