Exam particulars of Boards and CUET Entrance Test

  • The National Testing Agency, which has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the Undergraduate Entrance Tests for all the Central Universities (CUs) for the academic session 2022-23
  • The application window will be available from 06.04.2022 to 06.05.2022.

  • The pattern of the question paper will comprise objective-type questions and Input text-based questions.

Time Table to cover board and CUET preparations simultaneously

We recommend you prepare a strategy wherein you can cover both CUET, Common University Entrance Test, and board preps together. 

How to prepare simultaneously? 

When preparing the timetable, focus on keeping separate time for boards preparations, CUET domain-specific preparations, and lastly allot separate time for solving aptitude.

Time for preparations after the board and CUET exams

NTA CUET exams will be conducted in the first week of July. 

Therefore after your board exams, you are expected to have a period of 25-40 days to prepare for the CUET exams.

Simple tips to prepare Boards and CUET Preparation together

There are 3 phases for your entrance exams, the time period between January and February - the time you can multi-task and prepare, then the Board's exam phase - where you entirely focus on academics, followed by the time after you give your exams that must be completely dedicated for entrance preparations. Since CUET is considered a new exam, it is crucial to understand the syllabus and NTA CUET Exam Pattern thoroughly. 

According to this, you must plan your timetable and preparations. Consider following the below strategy. 

  • Decide and start your preparations a year in advance for entrance exams. 
  • Make a proper timetable, 6 hours of your time must be divided into 3 hours preparations for boards and 3 hours for entrance preparations. 
  • The ministry of education (MoE) has concluded the Common University Entrance Test 2022 will include four sections:

    • Section I A: 13 Languages
    • Section I B: 19 Languages
    • Section 2: Domain-specific test
    • Section 3: General  test
  • Study all the subjects every day. So you do not forget and have a proper flow in your preparations. 
  • The general aptitude section is mandatory for admission to one of the 45 central universities.
