GATE Exam Analysis 2020

Following the GATE 2020 Paper Analysis will let candidates estimate the difficulty level of the paper. The GATE Exam is conducted in two shifts each date i.e., one is morning shift and another one in the afternoon shift. In the GATE Analysis 2020, candidates can expect various information like

GATE 2020 CE Paper Analysis

The Civil Engineering paper was easy to moderate difficulty level. Compared to the previous year, this year the paper was easier. In the question paper, Geotech Engineering had the highest weightage of 15 marks. Environmental Engineering carried 14 marks. In the entire question paper, 25 questions were numerically based. 

GATE 2020 EE Paper Analysis

The Electrical Engineering paper was of moderate difficulty level. Power Systems carried the maximum weightage of 13 marks. Out of the total questions, 24 questions were numerically based. 

GATE ECE Paper Analysis 2020

The overall ECE Question Paper was of Moderate to Difficult level. Questions from topics like Maths, General Aptitude, Analog Circuits, and EDC were easy. 10 Marks was from Engineering Mathematics and Analog Circuits. 11 Marks was from the Communication section.  20+ questions were from NAT. 12 mark questions from both the Control system and electronic devices.

Network Theory- This topic included questions from Mess Analysis, Resonance, etc. However, it has three questions from 3 phase which were tough.

Analog Electronics- Questions were asked from this topic was moderate difficulty level. Topics asked included Diode, OP-AMP.

Signal System- Moderate questions from topics like DTFT, Convulsion, Sampling, etc.

Control System- Medium level questions from topics like Nyquist Plots, polar plots, etc.

Engineering Mathematics- This section had moderate to tough questions. Topics asked included probability, Linear Algebra, Vector, etc.

Aptitude- tThis topic had easy to moderate level questions.
