What is MAT Exam?

MAT or Management Aptitude Test is one of the exams being held to select the apt candidates for management studies. This entrance exam came into being in 1988 to help the schools of business. MAT is a national level entrance test since 2003 when the Government of India approved it.
Almost 600 business schools in India prefer students who have passed the MAT ENTRANCE.
MAT is organized by All India Management Association and this entrance test will be conducted 4 times a year for all the candidates willing to pursue their post-graduation on top Business Schools. MBA or Management of Business Studies is the most famous post-graduation for a business career. To attain the admission for MBA, you will have to appear for MAT or some universities. MAT does not apply to all the universities. There are a number of participating universities who will only consider the students after clearing MAT.
Eligibility of Candidates
To appear for MAT 2016 Entrance, the students should have a qualified degree or any equivalent course. Any candidate who is appearing for the final year exam of graduation can also apply for MAT 2016. The percentage of marks you require depends totally on the various policies of the universities. The validity period of the MAT score is mostly one year. You should apply for admission before the validity expires. There is no restriction on the number of times you can attend MAT.
MAT Entrance Exams are conducted in many cities in India as well as abroad. Age does not play any role in appearing for MAT. This test is an objective type exam where you will be given different choices of answers for every single question. The various sections in MAT are Language, Mathematics, Data Analysis, Intelligence and Critical reasoning and Indian & Global Environment.
Management Aptitude Test will have 200 questions in total and you will have 150 minutes to complete your test. Both online and offline MAT exams are possible. If you would like to give your test online, then your test will be on a computer. Otherwise, you will receive an objective type test booklet. You will get a score card of MAT a few weeks after your exam. This card will help you know the score you have achieved.
