WBJEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualifications – You have to clear 10+2 exam from a recognized board. Moreover, you should have Physics & Mathematics along with one of the subjects – Biology/Biotechnology/Chemistry/ Computer Science/Computer Application as compulsory subjects. Also, you need to secure minimum 45% marks and 40% marks in the three subjects taken together for unreserved and reserved category candidates, respectively.  You also have to clear English subject with minimum 30% marks.
  2. Age Limit – You should not be less than 17 years of age as on 31st December 2018. For maritime engineering courses, upper age limit rules apply – you should not be more than 25 years of age.

Points to note:

  1. All the questions will be of multiple choice question (MCQ) type.
  2. You have to use blue/black ball point pen to darken the appropriate circle completely.
  3. There is no negative marking for the 3rd category. However, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong attempt, in the 1st and 2nd category.
  4. In category 1 & 2, only one answer option is correct. However, in category 3, one or more than one answer option may be correct.

How to Apply Online for WBJEE 2018

  1. First of all, visit the official website.
  2. Then, fill in the form completely and correctly.
  3. After that, upload the scanned copies of the required documents.
  4. Then, make the fee payment.
  5. Finally, take a printout of the form for future reference.

Scanned copies of documents that you need to upload:

  • Latest coloured passport-size photograph
  • Left-hand thumb impression
  • Signature
  • Category certificate
  • Domicile certificate
  • Registration certificate/admit card/mark sheet of class 10th
  • Income certificate
  • PwD certificate (if applicable)

Note: If you have made any mistake while filling in the form, you can make corrections from 26th to 28th January 2018.

WBJEE 2018 Application Fee

You have to pay Rs.500 + bank service charges either through offline or online mode.
