The main aim of this paper is to test the candidates’ aptitude, vocabulary, communication skills and control over the language. So here are the following tips and tricks to clear the paper 2 with good score:
Comprehension: This needs a lot of time and you cannot just study it in the last minute. You should solve previous year papers as well as understand the questions properly before answering because the questions are usually twisted and tricky. Solving many papers will let you do this well.
Complete basic knowledge: In basic numeracy, quantitative aptitude and data interpretation you should have complete knowledge of the basics. Only then you can proceed to study further. Finish it to 100% and then study the later chapters
Practice: You should study proper material and books to understand the concept of reasoning and problem solving. These need a lot of practice which is best done with proper books, study material and previous year papers. Reasoning comes with proper thinking in the right direction based on what is asked. So you should be able to understand the question and de code it. This cannot be achieved directly in the exam hall. You need to practice it through many IAS mock test series and model papers.
With these tips and tricks study well and enter the exam hall with a relaxed and confident mind. Answer as many questions as you can and beware of the negative marking. Success lies in the ‘U’, the best reason to win.
