Union Public Service Commission has released notification for UPSC Civil services Examination. UPSC has released UPSC Civil services notification for filling approximately 782 vacancies for various posts like IAS, IPS, IFS, etc.

UPSC Civil Services Prelims Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Nationality : For the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service, a candidate must be a citizen of India.

  2. Age Limits: A candidate must be 21 years of age and must not be more than 32 years on the 1st of August, 2018 i.e, he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1986 and not later than 1st August, 1997.

(iv) Number of attempts: Every candidate appearing at the examination who is otherwise eligible, shall be permitted six attempts at the examination.

Application Fee: Rs. 100

Candidates with less than 40% disability will not be considered for any relaxation which are applicable to PH candidates and are required to pay fee if not exempted by rules.

Selection process for UPSC Civil Services Examination:

The competitive examination comprises two successive stages :

  1. Civil Services Preliminary Examination of Objective Type questions for the selection of candidates for Main Examination
  2. Civil Services of Main Examination comprising of Written test and Interview for the selection of various posts

How to apply online for UPSC Civil Services Notification 2018?

  2. Candidates may please note that changes are not allowed in the online application, once it is submitted. Online Application Form is available in English and in Hindi Language but it can filled only in English.
  3. Part I of Application form: Part I registration, candidate will have to fill basic information
  4. Part II of Application Form: filling up Payment details, selection of examination centre, uploading of Photograph and Signature and agreeing to terms and conditions. 
  5. Rules for Uploading Photograph and Signature:
  • Scanned photograph should be in JPG format. The file must be less than 40 kb and greater than 3 kb and resolution of 140-pixel height by 110-pixel width and Bit Depth of image file should be 24 bit.
  • Upload your scanned signature in JPG format. The file must be less than 40 kb and greater than 1 kb and have a resolution of 110-pixel height by 140-pixel width and Bit Depth of image file should be 24 bit.
  1. Candidates can pay application fee online through SBI net banking or by cash through SBI bank challan or through credit card/debit card.
  2. On successful completion of your complete application, an auto-generated email will be sent on your registered email-id.
