Pay Scale: Rs. 5200 to 20,200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2000.00
Educational Qualification: Candidate applying for UP Police Recruitment 2017 for post of Constable or Sipahi must be pass in intermediate from UP Board or equivalent exam.
Physical Standard for UP Police Recruitment 2017:
For Male Candidates:

| Height | 168 cm for Genand OBC / 160 cm for ST candidates |
| Weight | According to BMI but minimum 50 Kg |
| Chest | 79 cm for all but 77 cm for ST candidates. 5 Cm inflation compulsory |
