  1. National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NLSIU)

The National Law School of India university came into existence through the National Law School of India University Act (Karnataka Act 22 of 1986). The first batch of students was selected through a National Entrance Test, and the academic year began on 1st July, 1988. Till date, twenty-four batches of students have completed their studies here. The NLSIU has international student exchange programmes with the National University of Singapore, Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Canada and Buceuius Law School, Germany. Students from foreign law schools have spenta time of around one Semester to Trimester in NLSIU . This international student exchange programmes are not just education exchange programmes, but also exchange of ideas and culture between the two countries.

2. National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad.

The University was established by an Act of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature in 1998, which was subsequently amended in 2005 and 2010. NALSAR admits students from all over the country and also from abroad. It is counted among the top law schools of the country.

3. National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NLIU)

National Law Institute University is a law school and centre for research located in Bhopal, India. It is one of the first three law schools to be established under the National Law school System. It was established in 1997 in the state of Madhya Pradesh and has since then been a major centre for law education.

4. West Bengal National University of Judicial Sciences, Kolkata

West Bengal National University of Juridicial Sciences was established under the WBNUJS Act, 1999 adopted by the West Bengal Legislature in July, 1999. The WB National University of Juridical Sciences(NUJS) is one of the premiere national law schools of India and is ranked among the top 10 law schools. 5. Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur.

HNLU is a Residential University and is sixth in the series of National Law Schools in India. HNLU has been included in the list of the Universities maintained by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and has been declared fit to receive Central assistance in terms of the rules framed under Section 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956. 

6. National Law University, Jodhpur (NLU)

National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ) is one of the leading law schools of India situated in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. NLUJ has been ranked as the top B-Schools of India. 8. Ram manohar Lohiya National Law University RMNLU Lucknow

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law university was established by the Act of Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2005 and came into existence on 4th January 2006 to create opportunities for aspiring law graduates. 9. Rajiv Gandhi National Law University, Patiala

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab was established by the state legislature of Punjab. The university acquired approval of the Bar Council of India in July 2006. The air conditioned university library has a rich collection of books and journals. It has more than 28,000 volumes of books and legal resources with subscription to several periodicals. The university has also set up centre for advanced study in criminal law, centre for consumer protection law, Centre for Advanced Study in International Humanitarian Law (CASH); School of Agricultural Law and Economics (SALE); RGNUL Institute for Competitive Examination (RICE); Bureau of Information for Study Abroad (BISA) and Directorate of Distance Education (DODE). 

10. Chanakya National Law University: CNLU Patna is an autonomous law school in Patna, Bihar, India and was established in 2006 by the government of Bihar as a public university to fulfill the dreams of all aspiring lawyers. It was founded on 15 August 2006 and is based on a traditional approach towards education.
