Dear Aspirants,

Staff Selection commission conducts the examination for the post of Stenographer, Grade C & D. The SSC Steno recruitment has been released and online application starts from 22nd October 2018. The last date to apply for the post is 19th November 2018. The application for SSC Stenographer will be subject to various Eligibility Criteria as per SSC. Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2/Intermediate or equivalent examination from any recognized Board or University.
  • The candidates who are able to prove by documentary evidence that the result of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut off date and he/she has been declared passed, will also be considered to have the required Educational Qualification.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 27 years

Age Relaxation on Upper Age Limit for SSC Stenographer 2018

The age relaxation limit for different categories are different for each category. Below is the official relaxation provided for different categories.

SC/ST 5 years
Physically Handicapped (PH) 10 years
PH + OBC 13 years
PH + SC/ST 15 years
Ex-Servicemen (General) 3 years
Ex-Servicemen (OBC) 6 years
Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST) 8 years

Citizenship Eligibility Criteria for SSC Stenographer 2018

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen, OR
  • A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, OR
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01-01-1962, for permanent settlement, OR
  • Of Indian origin, migrated from Sri Lanka, Burma, Pakistan, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi, Ethiopia, Vietnam and Zaire, for permanent settlement.
  • Candidates belonging to other nations than India above must hold an eligibility certificate as issued by the Government of India.
