SSC Selection Post Syllabus

Staff Selection Commission is looking to recruit candidates for Selection Post. Prepare for the examination with the SSC Selection Post Syllabus for different educational qualifications.  The SSC Selection Post Recruitment will be conducted in 3 separate Computer Based Examinations consisting of Objective Type Multiple Choice questions, for the posts with minimum Educational Qualification of Matriculation, Higher Secondary, and Graduation & above levels.

  • Interested candidates may apply for the exam with SSC Selection Post Application Form before 31st August 2019.
  • Candidates will be appointed after successfully clearing all 3 stages of recruitment: Written Exam (CBT), Document Verification, Skill Test.

SSC Selection Post Syllabus

The SSC Selection Post Syllabus consists of 4 Major Sections: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude & English Language.

  • The difficulty level of the exam increases for all 3 CBT’s – Matriculation (10th Pass)  CBT < Higher Secondary (10+2) CBT < Graduation Level.

SSC Selection Post Syllabus for Matriculation (10th pass)

Staff Selection Commission will be conducting the Online test in 3 different CBT’s depending on the educational qualification of the candidate. Details of all 4 subjects in the Matriculation level has been mentioned below.

General Intelligence – Matriculation Level

General Intelligence section for Matric i.e 10th pass level will consist of Non-verbal reasoning topics only. The below-mentioned table displays all possible topics in the exam.

Matriculation Level – General Awareness

The SSC Selection Post Syllabus for GA section includes the following mentioned topics.

  • Questions in GA section are designed to test the general awareness of the environment and its application to society.
  • Current Events in the country & world.
  • General Science topics of 10th standard level.
  • The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries focusing on Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research.
  • The General Awareness section is basic at the matriculation level, however, the candidates should prepare thoroughly due to the high level of competition in SSC Exams.

SSC Selection Post Syllabus for Higher Secondary Level

The Syllabus for Higher Secondary Level will be of higher-level difficulty than Matriculation.  Higher Secondary level exam also tests candidates on 4 topics: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude & English Language.

English Language Syllabus

SSC Selection Post Syllabus for Graduation Level English Section tests the candidate’s ability to understand correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. There will be 4 parts: A, B, C & D in the English Section of the Graduation & above level.

The questions in Parts A, B, & D will be of a level commensurate with the essential qualification viz. Graduation and questions in Part C will be of 10th standard level.
