An IBPS PO has the following responsibilities:

RBI Grade B Roles and Responsibilities:

The RBI Grade B officers have to improve the confidence of the public in the financial system of the country by keeping the inflation under check and also ensure that there is enough supply of liquidity of the productive sector. RBI Grade B officers are also responsible for circulation of currency and coins issuedby RBI and ensure it reaches all nationalised banks under the armof the RBI. They must also ensuresmooth functioning of the various units of the RBI. They need to manage state and central government accounts by performing merchant banking functions.

In case of RBI Grade, salary is much higher than any other bank jobs. The basic pay is of Rs. 8,860/- per month (i.e. Rs. 8,040/- plus two advance increments will be for graduates only). The pay scale of RBI Grade B is Rs. 8,040 – 410 – 9270 – 500 – 11,270 – 550 – 13,470 – 650 – 15,420 – 720 – 16,140 – 990 – 20,100 (20 years). Inclusive of all the allowances with admissible prerequisites associated with the post (excluding value of housing) comes to a minimum 3, 20,000/- per annum.
