SSC JHT Exam Centers 2020
Candidates applying for SSC JHT Exam will be eager to know their exam centers. The Staff Selection Commission has released a set of SSC JHT 2020 exam centers for various cities. These are city codes given to various centers. This information is general in nature and all applicants can know about the center codes and cities or districts where SSC JHT exams will be conducted.
- The candidate is given the freedom to select any three exam centers in the order of priority within the same region.
- There is no option for change in the center and the board will not consider it. So ensure to fill the SSC JHT Application Form carefully and correctly.
- The Commission reserves the right to cancel any Centre and ask the candidates of that center to appear from another center.
- Commission also reserves the right to divert candidates of any center to some other Centre to take the examination.

SSC JHT Exam Centers FAQ’s
1) When will the SSC JHT 2020 Notification be Released?
A)The SSC JHT Notification is scheduled to be released on April 17, 2020, by the Staff Selection Commission. The notification may get postponed. However, there is “no official notice” released by the commission about the postponement. Candidates are advised to check out the official SSC website on a regular basis for the latest updates.
2) How many SSC JHT exam centers are there in Eastern Region (ER)?
A) The SSC JHT Exam will be conducted in five centers in the Eastern Region and those are as follows:
- Kolkata
- Port Blair
- Gangtok
- Bhubaneshwar
- Ranchi
3) What is the pattern of the Paper -1SSC JHT Exam?
A) SSC JHT Paper-1 is a computer-based test and it includes the questions from General Hindi and General English. The exam is conducted for a total of two hours. The questions are an objective type and the exam is conducted for a total of 200 marks and each section comprises 100 M.C.Q’s. There is a 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer.

A) If the candidates do not receive the SSC JHT Admit Card in time, they have the option to ascertain their Roll Numbers and download the duplicate admission certificate from the official website, for which a link is provided usually 10-15 days before the date of the examination. In some exceptional cases, duplicate admit card is delivered to the candidates by hand from the office of SSC(ER) on some specified dates before the examination, for which ‘Notice’ will be posted on the SSC website.
