SSC CPO Job Profile & Post Preference for Delhi Police SI, ASI, CAPF

SSC CPO Job Profile – Staff Selection Commission SSC announced CPO Sub-inspector and Assistant sub-inspector and Assistant Sub-inspector ASI recruitment for select the candidates in Delhi Police, CAPF and CISF on SI / ASI posts.

Candidates who are graduates in any discipline are eligible to apply for the SSC CPO 2017. Candidates who are interested in making their career in the police will be eligible to apply for the SSC CPO SI jobs through the SSC online portal. SSC CPO SI is a field job and will also require interaction with people.

SSC SI ASI includes examination for Sub-inspector in Delhi Police, CAPF and assistant sub-inspector in CISF exam. SSC conduct CPO exam every year for those who are graduates.

Examination and PET:

The exam procedure consists of Paper I, PET or Physical Endurance Test and Paper II. Candidates who qualify in Paper I are eligible to appear for PET or physical endurance test and medical exam. Only those candidates that qualify in PET and medical will be able to appear in Paper II.

Nature of Job:

The State Services Commission has several job openings that often involve police, inspection, supervision, audit and jobs that involve travel, military, and may also involve interaction with the public. Also SSC jobs are highly respected jobs, besides SSC CPO jobs are jobs which involve serving the country and protecting it and is suited for those who are loyal to their nation.

CAPF serves the country:

CAPF is a Para military force known as Central Armed Police forces and it comes under the Home Ministry. India has five central armed forces namely BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBF and SSB comes under the CAPF. Here BSF Stands for Border security Force, CISF stands for Central Industrial Security force, ITBF stands for Indo-tibetan border force, while SSB stands for Sahashtra Seema Bal and comes under the Ministry of Home affairs.

SSC CPO SI Responsibilities:

CISF covers various fields of security and CISF provides security to various institutions of the nation like Nuclear installations, Space and Aero Space, Airports, Sea ports, Power Plants, Sensitive Government buildings, Heritage buildings and monuments. CISF is also entrusted with VIP security, Disaster management, security for Delhi Metro, etc.

CPO SI Promotion Procedure:

Candidates who are selected for ASI post and join the CISF are liable to be promoted to sub-inpector. This is after five years of continuous service. The promotion of the candidates ASI and SI are carried out on the basis of zonal security and there is less chance of getting promotion before 7-8 years of experience. There are departmental exams and seniority factor comes into play for promotion.
